See, if I have to talk only for myself all I can say is I don't care who loves whom as long as there is consent, respect and love. I genuinely don't see the difference hence I subject it to the same treatment of humor that I would subject any other relationship in. You can say this is me normalizing it. Personally I don't like to use the word normalizing, because when I'm saying I'm normalizing something or making an effort to normalize it, it just perpetuates the fact that there is a difference, wherein 'for me' it is just the same. Sure this might probably be a 'privileged' statement coming from me, considering I'm not the one at the receiving end of certain biases and stereotypes. But for now with whatever mental capacity of understanding that I have, all I can do is just speak for myself.

As someone who's been an active part of the community from the very grassroots, your roleplay comment needed context and that's all. The context comes from Karan himself. He's the one calling his supposed partners 'Bhaiya'. Lgbtq+ people are allowed to subvert notions and talk about themselves like that. It's called 'reclaiming' but others shouldn't. Anyways y'all shouldnt even bother with giving explanations to someone who used the r word on y'all.
