She does not come from a progressive family who will support her if she chooses to go back to live with them leaving her husband behind. The entire reason that Sameer had to marry this young was because of the regressive thinking of Naina's family anyways.

I thought the same. Coming from a conservative family going back to your house one month into your marriage in the 90s was a big thing. No girl will take such an extreme step at the drop of a hat. And, she didn't think of Sameer but Chachaji? She can do anything for him. She even broke up with Sameer by just imagining that Chachaji won't support. But Chachaji also fought the world along with them to make their marriage happen. she didn't even think about him?

The newly married couple being all lovey dovey was conveniently explained by the VO the other day that thats how most couples are but we were opposite and different

Secondly this is a newly wed couple - why are they even fighting so much in the initial stages of marriage? Generally, what is supposed to be the "Honeymoon Phase" for most of the couples seems to be the nightmare phase for these two. These kinds of discord may come later in marriage but to see it so early on is not believable.

If both of them had to go through such hardships to get married to each other, isn't it logical that at least Naina should put in some efforts to rectify the situation before packing her suitcase, that too after only few days into marriage? If Sameer had not stopped her, would she really have left? Was it cool to see Sameer crying and begging like that he front of his wife to stay and was it only his fault? It does not matter who says sorry to me but if saying sorry will act as an ice breaker to ease a strain, restore trust & understand and start a conversation with your spouse, isn't it worth saying it? Why even discuss he should have said sorry and or she should have said sorry.

This was so unbelievable that one has to wonder whether the writers are actually interested in the quality of this show anymore.
No woman, not then, not now leaves her home at the drop of a hat unless she was a spoilt brat that comes from a very pampered background. Now Naina supposedly comes from a middle-class conservative background. Did she not remember the problem that Pooja had when she came home during the Bittu incident?

I was actually hoping that Naina had actually left and gone to Anand's house. Remember they were present during the dinner fiasco so they saw Naina's housekeeping skills or philosophy for themselves.Their reaction would have been a severe reality check for her.

Exactly! I have seen so many girls at that time keeping mum about the hardship in marriage to save their Maika from being agonized by their misery. Here Naina is directly threatening to go to Maika without thinking about repercussions of her actions.

About the VO, less said about it, better it is nowadays.

I had totally forgotten about Pooja's incidence. Now I remember how Bela Chachi dragged her to say sorry to Bittoo even before asking what the real deal was. At that time, for Bela saving the marriage was more importance than sorting out the issues. Knowing the kind of family Naina hails from, packing her bags to go to Maika was way off for me. I also wished she returned back to Maika for few days to see how her family reacts.

Currently I have friends in the verge of divorces trying to get out of abusive relationship and they are still being persuaded to forget everything and go back to their husbands by their own parents. For us 90s teens, walking away is never easy neither in the 90s nor now.

She never said anything to Sameer she proved her point right.

Agreed Sameer's pointing out all her mistake and non stop kurkur is new to Naina.. She saw more kurkur at her home. So why she is sooo rebellious to Sameer.

I don't agree to the tolerating part dear..
Just coz naina dint have a say against Taiji's insult does not mean she should be used to insults and taunts from sameer

As a matter of fact, person who bears so much from relatives who don't treat them well get more hurt and lost when the one person they trust the most treat them this way.
Apart from not handle house properly Naina never insulted sameer or belittled him even after his rants

Infact I want her to give back to Tai once in life for all the humiliation she has bore from the devil lady.
It's always Sameer and Preeti she had been close to and openly shared her feelings

I again feel that sameer's taunts and insults are very harsh since shaadi started. If I was in Naina's place I could not take this much just coz I did not clean the house and took my husband's promise literally

Both are wrong and both need to realize it.

Once issues will reach at its saturation point everything will go right
