Dear Kavitha/charlotte74,
I am not new to your stories, but this is the first one that I started to follow real-time... having been a late entrant to the Arhi FF world. I can't claim to have a great eye for detail...that said, what cannot be missed in every story that you have penned, is that fact that we see a major prop in the form of the locales. Be it Rajasthan or Uttarakhand or Coorg or Punjab or Udupi now. That in itself is an ode to this beautiful country.
Kizh72 (Priya) and cheers2all (Gauri) recommended this story to me a few weeks ago. A tad bit late in coming here and raising my hand in attendance, but boy, what a journey this has been! My roots belong to the land of your Monsoon Rain and Sea Mist, so this has been an even more exciting find.
I could visualize the lush greens, the back-waters, the coconut trees and the beaches. You even brought into the mix an Engineering college/Institute in that region that many influential folks go to. The only thing I regret not having a first-hand experience of, was the fall in the well... standing next to the macho-Arnav and the delicious world-class coconut chutney that... again, Arnav whipped out. Dakshina Kannada (DK) where people believe in Paathala Loka... and now we got to even see a Bhoota! In the form of weeds :)
Arnav is not going to be happy if he finds out about all the sleuthing going around, behind his back. Will the vulnerable duo embrace each other before that? The mystery element is making me anxious, jittery, and overly excited at the same time. Arnav's reactions to Khushi seem to shout out loud that he may not have been willingly involved with Payal. Was he safe-guarding himself with a namesake-girlfriend just to shoo away the others that were after his social status? He must have had strong reasons to come back to India and even be a part of a disturbing past. Is it just to help his father with the business, or something beyond?
I can visualize a college trip to Maravanthe... where Arnav and Khushi re-create their first dance together. And who knows that might be Arnav's Eureka moment to recognize Khushi. Imagination, some... sigh!😳
Wishing you luck on this journey moving forward. And lots of love,
Vini.
