I too was raised in a similar fashion. My mother used to tell me that all religions and gods are equal and differences exist only in names and rituals. However, my experiences made me realise that this equality doesn't exist beyond the walls of my house. 😆Originally posted by: 4thPrincoholic
They DO consider it a "sin" since "prasad" is a manifestation of "idol worshipping"! ... To be very frank I was quite liberal growing up .. in a sense I would participate in Muslim religious celebrations including visiting mosque ... but as I became more of an adult I realized how bigot it all looked ... Why should I join their celebrations when they can't reciprocate or look at my religion the way I look at theirs... so now I don't even bother! ... I reciprocate depending on how respectful the other person is of my religion ... I play by the same rules! ... 😆
