She liked similar tweets yesterday also. So I don't think she was paid anything. She made it clear that she didn't find the film similar to hee book. Even asked those fans whether they have actually read the book. But none of them had read the book. After the trailer release it is clear that nothing is similar apart from the name satya and roop. In the book the couple was sikh and much older in age.

But if the story ends up being similar, she should get the credit.

As for Madhuri she has shot alot, so lack of footage given to her is disappointing, but all I understand is that the trailer was revealing and clears the air around love triangle/quadrangle, so they seem to be delibrately hiding Varun-Sanju-Madhuri storyline

Anyways the author said that after reading stuff about Kalank, she doesn't think the movie is similar to her book. As she herself said the book revolves around 2 women in polygamous marriage, where satya is strong and kind of evil women. The whole thing doesn't match with the movie.

Hmm. But at some point after the teaser came out she did feel there are similarities or else why like the tweets. Anyways it is the writer's perogative to sue or claim credit if her work was plagarized so it is totally up to her now how she will pursue it. In a way her book also got some mileage I'm sure so even if the film was not plagarized it is a win-win situation for her. Maybe that is why she is asking people who are tweeting if they had read the book.😆
