Welcome to this forum- it is more interesting than the actual show. The story is mills and boon crossed with thornbirds with bad cooking (Tarka) by the show's writers.
Rich boy Anurag rescues & then finally falls for middle class girl Prerna- whose father (before he was killed) used to work for Anurag's father (who is now conveniently in coma and the writers and his wife have forgotten about him). Rich boy's mummy hates poor girl's family. With the 2 dads out of picture- Anurag decides to marry Komolika (the vamp) without telling his love Prerna (whose maang he had secretly filled in Ekta mata's temple)- to save his family business & his own & Pre's house. This Poor girl and her sister are both pregs by 2 different rich boys (Prerna with Anu's).
So now the vamp wants to kill Pre.
I missed the best bit- Anurag flies in one of the scenes- a la superman.
But because of really bad writing superman became super spineless and the Holi sequence is an attempt by the writers to salvage his character.
