Anushka - one-note actress

Anushka's acting IMO is overrated and overhyped. In Zero, she was really not at all good and neither in most of her roles. Only NH10 she shone with something beyond the ordinary. Katrina stole the show in Zero and was really, really good. It can be argued that she was playing an easier role but she was just so powerful in the emotional scenes. But if she can get overshadowed by Katrina in a film, it doesn't speak much for Anushka's acting.

how is Anushka over rated when she isn't even rated that highly😆...
Never won any major award, critics mostly are critical of her work.
She hardly gets unanimous reviews.

I don't think she is over-rated..she is not considered an amazing actor by most...

She was really awful in zero..the movie exposed her limitations as an actress..she should have done some solid home work before attempting to do such a challenging role..

Anushka is just marginally better than Sonam, I feel. yet, the latter is bashed by many and the former praised to the skies. Yes, she is an outsider and kudos to her fro taking up challenging roles, but one has to perform also but I feell she is just too lazy to scratch beyond the surface.

A few years ago this same forum went gaga over Anu. 😆 I still remember the Anu is going to dethrone Deepu this year chants. 😆 Every single year after 2013/2014 was supposed to be Anu's year but alas! How times change yo! 😆

Anywho, Anu doesn't have that star quality nor is she a terrific actress. So glad to see the hype around her fizzling out. 😆 And apparently her only achievement is marrying VK. Her fans do like to rub that in everyone's faces whenever there is nothing left to defend her with.😆

well in that thread she was compared to Kangu, Deepika and Sonam.
While Kangu is obviously better, Deepika isn't more talented than her, yeah better CV, and compared to Sonam.
No unbiased person will rate her over Anushka.

Anushka and Deepika are at same level (in terms of acting talent).
