Maria Bint E Abdullah stars Kinza Hashmi and Hamza Firdous in the lead. The drama, a 7th Sky Entertainment production, is being directed by Saleem Ghanci and has beenwritten by Huma Hina Nafees.
The teasers have started doing rounds on the channel and from the looks of it, Maria Bint e Abdullah will bring across a very different story. Kinza Hashmi plays a Muslim girl, Maria, while Saman Ansari is her Christian mother, Jenny D'Souza.
From what we have seen in the teasers, the drama looks rather interesting with a very different story line. If Maria Bint E Abdullah will cater to religion, we're sure, it'll bring across a new message for all, something that is 7th Sky Entertainment's USP.

With very little time in the industry, Hamza Firdous has managed to bag some diverse TV roles. He made his debut as the selfish and greedy Tipu in O'Rangreza, followed by the role of a young, cultured Hindu man in period drama Ghughi, and pulled off both with finesse. Adding to the list is another unique character, called Aammar, in the upcoming drama serial Maria-Binte-Abdullah which is being directed by Saleem Ghanci.
"I'm playing Aammar, a businessman whose parents died early hence his dadi took care of him, Hamza told Instep about his character in the play. He is a religious person which reflects in his demeanor and his every day dealings. I will be seen saying naats, hamds and kira'ats.
"As an actor, it was challenging because I haven't played such a character before, he added. "I did play a religious negative character in a theatre play in Dublin but on screen, it's a new experience. I feel really blessed that I get to do a range of different characters at such an early phase of my career and I credit the productions who visualize me as these different characters.
Produced under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment, Maria-Binte-Abdullah follows the story of Maria (essayed by Kinza Hashmi), who comes to Karachi to find her roots and cross paths with Aammar. The two fall in love with each other. However, the story is not as simple as it sounds, according to Hamza. "It has all the blends such as emotions, twist and turns, and conflicts, he assured
