PROLOGUE
Listen. If you're going to leave that's fine. And I know you promised, you wouldn't but I also know that sometimes it rains, even when it's not supposed to. And boys kiss girls they shouldn't. And we tear flowers out of the ground, just to watch them die and things change. So I understand if you're done. But please don't forget to pack up those late nights calls and photographs where we were smiling so big, it looks like we've never been happier or felt the pit in your stomach when someone says they don't love you anymore. Take back every kiss, every hug, every late night walk and every pillow talk. Every time I started to fall asleep on your lap. Everything I wrote you. Every song you sang along with me. Every "I love you more." Every shock I felt inside my skin when you brushed up against me. It sucks. I gave you everything. And it sucks. I have lost and cried to the person that I thought was my biggest win today. I guess the very emotional that can heal your heart is the very one that can break it. If you start to miss me, remember I didn't walk away, you let me go.
Her pen stopped, she smiled looking at the photograph at her desk, a lone tear escaped from the corner of her eyes, she sighed, and turned off the lamp.
