i was watching where Manjeet telling Palak that why she wants her daughter to marry a rich guy. Because she couldn't save her son because of lack of money and Palak kind of agrees to that.

Then it hit me; why Palak needs a rich husband. Isn't she already in a position to take care of herself? I mean she is a doctor/pharmacist where she probably making good amount of money. She already donates certain % to charities/ vaccines to under privileged kids. Aren't parents teaching kids to handle any situation under any circumstances. Basically; kids should stand on their own feet and not to depend on others?

The girl already doing so much on her own, why is that scene needed and that whole thing was under played in this forum\ discussion. Or I totally missed it

BTW, what is the name of Palak dad's character name? I don't remember if I ever heard anyone called him with a name. Setu's dad probably only one who called him with his name which I didn't pay attention to

Moreover she even told Ritwik this in the earlier episodes when he came to know Manjeet is Palaks mom ..'Spoil me by love I can finance myself'. I just loved that line for today's independent self-made girls if they only had to show Palak strong enough to tell her mom she doesn't need a rich husband show off ...not sure wat the writers have in mind I felt something a miss there...I mean why on Earth would any parent want something like that for their kids jus to show off...absurd

Manjeet and Palak are polar opposites in thoughts and principles (always been that way)... Palak and her father are more in tandem

Palak relented this time to her mother's demands (for the first time) since Manjeet was insulted because of her; she fell for Rithwik and her parents got insulted in the process, so she felt responsible

Palak doesn't have anything to d o with money . ...She has said it many times

..They have shown Manjit character with inconsistencies...They said she feels money is imp as she sufferred when they didn't have it...But how she says/talks about money , actually is not in sync with the intention.
