disclaimer: am only watching this show for the train wreck factor and am not on any team. neither nandini, mouli or kunal (don't think one exists but if it does...😆 hahahahahha...) ... and yes, EMA is wrong and hurtful..

now, this is the kind of situation that has people asking what is love. so really what is it? am reminded of a recent show I watched where the therapist said that love isn't an emotion. it is a decision to commit to someone, to care for them, to honour them. it is an intellectual decision and even if we don't feel those "in love" feelings, once we make that decision, the feelings will follow...

based on the last episode, nandini and kunal are in love. the woman has never felt affection or being cared for. she wanted to be cherished and so fell for kunal. as for him, he says that he knew it was wrong and he fought against it. he is aware that this is going to go wrong in so many ways and yet he makes a vow to her that he loves her...

so what was he doing in a marriage with mouli? now, did she make a mistake bringing another woman into their home when she was trying to just help out? isn't that what good friends do? support each other? or was her mistake not drawing a clear line in their friendship at home? (clear line -- the way we draw a line and servants are not allowed to get involved in family matters even if they are living there full time)

now, the question is did he love mouli as a woman? it makes me wonder. perhaps he loved her as a person but not as a woman? did he ever consider as "the woman"? in our society, we are too quick to say "I love you" when we actually mean that we find the person attractive. many people get into relationships only because they are happy to have someone like them/crush on them. it is not about whether they really like or love the person. was it one of those kind of situations?

also, the truth is all sorts of crimes are carried out in the name of love. stalking, rape, acid burns, physical abuse. all these people who perpetuate these crimes do claim to be in love with their victims. so if there is love, why would someone harm them? why can't they let them go? why can't they accept another person's decision to not return that love? even in domestic abuse situations, it is complicated because often there is love involved. just take rajdeep and nandini -- it took her 7 years to walk away and even then she wavered. why? did she love rajdeep?..

so, is there a dark side to love? we often see love as this beautiful pure emotion but when mixed with our insecurities, selfishness and other darkness, does love take on a different hue?

usually affairs that are just physical will fade but here this is emotional and is going to wreck all sorts of damage. kunal and nandini's emotions are entangled with each other and it isn't a simple lust factor.. but if it is a love that will cause havoc and damage to all involved, is that still love? or is it a dark side of love? kunal has made a vow. if this is love, then like a typhoon, there will be damage.

Gt post, every person has different views about love, for me love is beautifull feeling. Pure love can't selfish for that person, it can hurt other persons who are related ,as you think more caring n devoted to that person. It makes you caring ,devoting, ,nice to that person .U put his/her happiness before yourself I can't explain much ,but its depend on person to person, i think teenagers love is most of the time like this you said, its common to say i love quickly without realizing depths of it. ,liking someone and got attracted n said i love you.
kunal nadu love i didn't felt that, its looking more deep for me, though mkers are rushing it, but still felt that May be as its started with care n concer, support ,even responsibility and admiration before realization even went through pain and

Firstly mauli did a huge mistake by not drawing a line and letting nandini in her house . They say friendship aisi hoti hai, I believe in drawing boundaries in relationships too..like father daughter , wife to her husband's friends and vice versa.

Did he love mauli as a woman? He does not know what love is . But apparently before nandini entered , he loved mauli as a person and a woman both..I agree 90% of the time I love yous are superficial . Otherwise there wont be these many breakups divorces and domestic rape and so on..he loved mauli on a physical level also and emotional level also, as there were no signs of conflict , ego or disagreement ever . If this is not true then his love for nandini is also questionable

Imo love is always dark. It's a double edged sword. Desire is always dark and never satisfying . Love evokes a lot of negative emotions like jealousy possesiveness expectations . Love ka colour kuch bhi ho,the people here , that's nandini and kunal , are they dark ? How can a normal person cross over to the dark side so easily ? Yes a husband or wife may get angry or possessive or jealous , but what made a perfect guy like kunal cross over to the dark side? And what's the harm in admitting that it's lust also ? Aren't all relationships of these kinds physical ? Unless it's unconditional like brother sister , parent child, to an extent friendship also...

. Throwing acid rape or stalking is done by supposed "lovers " , that's one sided love or obsession. A different topic . And after marriage of course it has , nothing to do with love . A husband won't throw acid on his wife out of love , then he is mentally sick . Like rajdeep. Did rajdeep love nandini? Dark side of love is something very different .

Nandini took 7 years to come out of this marriage because she was on house arrest by rajdeep. She could not call anyone , she was not in contact with anyone who could help her , rajdeep didn't let her keep a maid also to cut all contacts with the world . He was abusing her using her , taking advantage of her fear . If mauli didn't come along , she would still be living with rajdeep. Or probably dead that night . She didn't give rajdeep another chance out of love

What kunal feels for nandini is not the dark side of love. It's more of lust and taking advantage of a distressed soul ..She has no backing so she will cling on to the person who she finds fit and kunal is the best bet right now...of course both of them together will wreck havoc in their lives and the lives of those who they supposedly love . .

@alovi_21 - yea, when love is going well, it can be great. however, when people tear each other apart, it really raises a question marks. then the answer is as human, we are flawed and so is our capacity to love. but will agree with you that I don't see kunal lusting after nandini. he is in love and that is problematic in the sense because it raises questions of what he was doing with mouli then..

@charu -- yea I agree with you that love is a double edged sword. I used to watch a lot of crime shows and in one documentary, the police officer said in majority of the cases (he gave some ridiculously high percentage), it is a family member who is the killer -- someone who the victim knew and loved. thats why the police always start with interrogating the family... so definitely makes you wonder what is love.

if kunal was in just lust, this situation would be actually easier. they would just have physical relations and end of story. they would move on. however, because they are in love, it is going to wreck havoc on everyone around them...

Isn't it difficult to convince a woman to have only a physical relationship? He is attracted to her beauty ..Chodo..If it's not lust(assuming )or it's lust+love and pure emotions , how will Mr kunal justify loving two women at the same time or falling in and out of love just like that ..he toh pavitra hai hi,woh bhi pavitra hai..trust me he has lost it

different and interesting post..Sometime I feel we fall in love without even knowing what exactly love is..Love have deeper feelings than just admire a person or having crush over them..Sometime we feel we love a person but when we actually feel the real love we get to know how wrong we are back then ..according to kunal he never felt something like this before so from this we can differentiate his feelings for mauli was very different than what he feel for nandini now..and he is a grown up man now if he realised he is in love with nandini to an extent that running in traffic leaving the car behind not caring about his life or what people say I feel it's love only but like kunal said this feelings comes wrong time in their life so it going to effect not only him but people connected with him too
