Episode 1 On the streets of Musoorie, Aditya snatches the gramophone out of Zoya's hand. A gift which he wants to give his wife. A gift which Zoya also is fighting for her husband. They run behind each other for the sake of love, the same love that does not even belong to them. And when they collide Adi throws colors of red onto Zoya and walks away leaving her white dress with painted with red color.
The gramophone in form of their respective love which they were fighting for drops and shatters into pieces signifying their broken relationship. Even though their life comes to a halt, the same broken gramophone makes a path leading to each other.
Episode 88 On the streets of Mumbai, Zoya is lovingly arranging flowers, a gift she wants to welcome her friend with. She wants to make him happy, she wants to celebrate his return. Only her friend has different plans to surprise her. Yesterday she had surprised him with her presence to welcome him home and this time Adi will return her gesture with a surprise. Aditya wants to recreate the moment he has been playing in his head for months. Their first meeting which was tinted with Pooja and Yash's death is now washed away with this new beginning. He snatches the flower out of her hand which belongs to him and only him, no one else. It be should be noted here that Adi knows her so well that she would run after him for her flowers. On a normal day, we wouldn't chase someone so desperately for something I haven't even paid for. But Adi knows Zoya does not let anything of her slip she will come after no matter what. She runs after him to get her gift back, they both run but this time for a common reason. A reason which leads to each other.
Adi stops to take a break and turns to watch her run and has a recall of her running after him in a similar way. It is interesting to see how much in detail Adi remembers their first meeting. He even remembers small details from that day.
When Zoya catches Adi from behind, it signifies their first meeting as well. Even then when Adi thought he has succeeded in hiding from her she had come from behind and caught him. It happened similarly today, he thought he has managed to escape and hide from her but she again gets a hold of him. This shows, no matter how many times Adi will try to escape her, Zoya won't let it happen. She will a step ahead to catch him and hold on to him.
Zoya's beshraam behaya kamzarfh had shocked Adi in the first episode, he to some extent had an annoyed expression but today when she said those same three words, he had a smile on his face. It felt like he has finally come home! Nature welcomes their meeting with flowers showered over them as a blessing for a new beginning! Unlike last time when red powder fell on them and they were trying to escape each other. This time they are not running away from each other, they are welcoming each other. Seeing each other in a new light.
The Adi who was lost for months, who had hidden his childish nature somewhere deep comes out unknowingly to tease Zoya and ask her what kamzarfh means. This Zoya who understands him better now plays along with his child like jokes. It is interesting here that Adi says sirf tum pareshan kar sakti ho?' What pareshaani Adi? He never saw the news, he did not have any pareshani because of it so what was he talking about? It is the pareshaani of her thoughts which never left him. He missed her which was his pareshaani.
I loved how Zoya knows she has full rights on him. She lovingly hits him like a friend does to another. They have never acknowledged if they have rights on each other but it was always understood.
And then comes the most awaited HUG!! Zoya without caring where they were who they were standing around hugs Adi with a big smile. Her smile says it all, her happiness on finally having her friend back. Adi has a surprised look on his face in the first instance because he would have never imagined the Zoya who use to not let him keep his arm around her would hug him. The next moment his face is lost he finally feels something he cannot understand. This feeling is new to him and he is scared. The fear was clearly visible on his face, he does not want this attachment. He hugs her slightly but is not the carefree Adi who was ready to hug her with open arms when sagrika Bhabhi had told him to. He is cautious, does not want to develop any kind of attachment. He is not able process that someone had missed him so much. On the other hand, Zoya has no fear. She is an open book at this point.
Adi meeting Zosh events employee shows how he is trying his best to keep a distance from them. He is detached now and does not want to gain those relationships back. He wants to remain detached with himself. Old Adi would have joked around with them, but new one simply nods his head. It is tricky how he has not answered anyone about his trip. Since yesterday everyone has been asking him about Paris but he does not answer.
The office scene where Zoya mentions, Paris is the most romantic place shows she still believes in love. She is still able to talk about how she wants visit the most romantic place. On the other hand Adi is astonished to see the Zoya he always knew she could be. The first time he had met her in this company, she was unble to get few employees' attention with her voice and today it is only her voice in this office.
Adi says tumse itna dur bhi nahi gaya tha ki tumhari khabar na aye. It is a beautiful line. In fact Adi had never left Zoya and Zoya had never left Adi. They were always present in each other's thoughts. This is obvious when Zoya asks him if he missed her in Paris. Aditya's expression changes immediately like has been caught. He does not know how to answer that she was all he could think about. I really liked how he said she knows the answer. They know each other so well that they don't even need to ask if they missed each other.
I really have to give it to the writers today for executing the episode so subtly without any drama. It was simple from their hug to their talks in the office. It really felt like two friends after a long time have met!
PS- I don't know if Anjana is the kidnapper! Either she is a good actor or is really innocent. Also what is Adi hiding?
