It looks like the story is gearing up for a Sid-Anuskha ki zabardasti waali shaadi.

When Vedant's asliyat comes out in front of the world, via Siddhant, KK will automatically reach out to him. He already likes and trusts Siddhant completely and has a lot of affection for the Sinha family (irrespective of whether he was involved in Prabhakar's death or not, which I don't think he was. Siddhant is on the wrong track here.) And if Riddhi somehow tells him that Anushka is in love with Sid, KK will ask Sid and Anu to get married and Sid will not be able to say No.

Anu will assume that Sid has only agreed for the marriage because he wants to be in the good books of her father and Sid will agree to the marriage because he will have no other option, in case he still wants to pursue destroying KK and Shark. Also, that would heighten his dilemma of whether he should continue in his quest of destroying KK or just happily spend his life with the only girl he has ever loved. The choice between Hatred and Love, as Gayatri Sinha had put it.

This will ensure good ol's drama and lots of potential for romantic scenes.
