Watching the last couple of episodes, Siddhant's reaction on giving up Anu was really heart wrenching. I do not know if a person who loves another at such level could live without them and in this case, he needs to leave watching Anu playing house with another person.
Siddhant reaction brought into mind...Devdass story...

I hope Sid doesn't take to alcohol like Devdass did when he lost Paro... For sure now, Siddhant is a tortured soul, even though I assume he will put on a merry facade during the activities related to Anu-Vedant ceremonies...

Any thoughts..

I don't think he will resort to alcohol. When he didn't show his hurt after breaking up with Anushka, it was hard to watch. Now that he is missing her so much and almost broken losing her, it's even harder to watch.
I just want this engagement to break and get Sidushka together again somehow.

Eventually he will realise that his love for anushka is bigger then his hate for kk. I think he'll realise this during her engagement.

That's what they have indicating in the last two episodes he can't just forgive kk and live happily with Anushka either. So, if kk is guilty then punish him and get Anushka or show kk as innocent and get Sidushka back together.

I agree with Tanu. Sid ain't resorting to alcohol. He hasn't been sketched as someone who is so emotionally vulnerable that he'll resort to alcohol. I think equating Sid's emotional state to Devdas' state/condition is an incorrect parallel. 'Devdas' kind of pain and emotional breakdown is on a different level altogether.

Devdas was an emotionally tender character, although I loved, loved his character in the movie.
However, Siddhant Sinha is an emotionally iron-clad man, and he wouldn't take to alcohol when he loses Anu, however seeing him drunk once or twice would be heart-wrenching.😛

See, I wouldn't say Devdas' grief was greater, but I guess the impact of the loss of love was much, much greater on Devdas, than it would be on Sid because of the vulnerability of the former and the strength of the latter. I agree with that. 😛

i have a rather subjective question here...how does taking to alcohol prove someones' strength or weekness?
people have different ways to try n forget or drown in their hurt i think..
- alcohol
- work
- self harm
- workout
- sulking alone
etc etc...
i would say we cant judge like that...

but in devdas' case i dont know till date y he forgot to take paro along wen he left his house 😆 ( i m so damn allergic to illogic i tell u)

Devdas did not take Paro because he did not want to go against his father, at the same time he could not handle the fact that his family was against his relationship with Paro. 😳
There are some people who do not harm themselves when they are hurting, and there are some who physically harm themselves when they are hurting. That is the difference.

Sid is mentally strong guy... He can't forgot anu after breakup..
I think just because he is lawyer by profession he is able survive .. all this shock like PB was murderer by Kk and what he done with anu ..
We have seen him in telling maan ki bat . Like to gatri ji amd to sweetji.. he just need a little push and he will Tell everything what actually he is hiding and y ? 7 year gap playing its part here ...

What i am afraid of in last episode sid started his tricks infront of Anu also.. in ridhi bhabhi house .. ab aage kya kya krta h anu ke samne is worsts i can think .
