Well she doesn't "have to" be with someone she doesn't love. This is where her own agency comes into play. No one can force her to marry if she doesn't want to. She is choosing to spend time with Vedant of her own volition in her bid to move on.

Sid is just helping Vedant woo her as any friend would do in that situation. I mean even Purva is helping Karthik woo Nupur. So I don't find what Sid is doing is really "wrong" for Anushka. There is no manipulation involved.

Yes, ultimate decision is Anushka's but he is taking a chance here. Most successes so far in terms of taking revenge came by luck to him. He knows by letting KK know that Vedant is going to be the finance minister KK's pressure on Anushka will increase and by letting Vedant know about many things about Anushka, will let Anu see Vedant in a dearer way and that increases his probability of Anushka saying yes to Vedant.
