I don't think they'll pick Suraj because of Chakor, they'll pick him because they'll be impressed by his actions and how he handled himself when he met the goons.

I think the justification for picking Suraj over an army officer is that they want an unknown face, someone who isn't in the military because they fear the colonel has contacts inside the army and he can identify the officers, it's a cliche excuse in this kind of plot.

I think Chakor's background will justify why they will let her in on the plan, they may even approach her to convince Suraj. Anyways she's the FL, she has to be the focus of the promo and this way they kept the suspense about the actual track.
