The precap is endearing and horrifying at the same time.
This is not a misunderstanding. Aditya can get a lot of sympathy today for the reason that he had no idea what his father is going to do in court. But that's not the point, the point is even after the case he didn't care about the how what all Papa Hooda said could effect Zoya. Zoya's words in the precap are to make him realize how she felt at that time.
I bet her next dialogue will be, "See, couldn't handle it, could you? Now imagine how I must have felt."
The almost slap, both Anjana and Harsh came forward to stop Aditya from doing that which kinda makes me like them.
