For the hundredth time. MADHURI WAS NOT PREGNANT DURING DEVDAS. 😉

Her son was born in March 2003. DEVDAS shooting was complete at the latest in April 2002. So unless Madhuri was pregnant for over 12 months... 😕 it didn't happen.

A big major lmfao @'overrated looks/dancing' comments. I literally howled with laughter, thanks for that. Please do enlighten me with examples of a perfectly rated beauty and dancer. I'm dying to know what the standard of beauty is here. I guess I'm living in the wrong place if every Tom, Dick & Harry walking on your sidewalks are better rated dancers and lookers.

AND to answer the question. My bones literally started wobbling when I read that she is not a flexible dancer. AHAHA omg I could not kick up passed my hips without fracturing myself let alone move like her. ANYYYWAY I like that she can pretty much dance to all sorts of music - whether it is classical or western.

Usually I have noticed that actresses who dance next to Hrithik Roshan pretty much vanishes into thin air. He overshadows everyone when he dances. But I can appreciate that Aish stood her ground and matched well with him when they danced together to Dhoom Again.

Instead of doing my assignment, I decided to procrastinate and link some of the songs that I loved watching her dance in. ENJOY :)

Aishwarya is technically a good dancer..and graceful too..she can give sexy, sultry expressions very well like in kajra re, dhoom or ishq kameena..much better than Katrina.
But where she falls short compared to Madhuri is in fluidity of their dance. Aish moves r sharp while Madhuri is more fluid, more feminine with her steps..like Aishwarya's nimbooda dance is praised a lot but I feel Madhuri would have done wonders with it. One reason can be that Aishwarya is tall so some steps seem awkward on her.
Also Madhuri has that Adaa and expressions that r hard to match for anyone. That puts her above the current lot.
Aishwarya's best dances have been in Taal..Ramta Jogi, kahin Aag lage lag jaaye. That movie did best justice to her beauty and moves

When she dances, she holds her gardan very tight. And that makes her entire posture appear stiff.

Coz of Gardan's tightness, her hand movements become robotic.

There's no flow.

Madz dance just flows. There's lachak. And Aish doesn't have that lachak. She does her steps right.. but her body doesn't dance with the flow.

Exactly. I meant fluidity when I said stiff. No one's saying she's not flexible, she's very but for dancing esp Indian classical dancing something else is required. But sh'e still one of a kind-no one else like her even in Indian dancing.
I've trained in kathak myself a bit not a lot and when I raised my arms too much or overextended my body I was told off by my guruji. The thing is Indian classical dance is like you make an imaginary circle around your body and then that's like your core so your movements have to come from there. If you overextend yourself in some steps like raise your legs really high then that will have to be your core and all your dancing must come from there.
When it doesn't because that's not really your core then it looks over rehearsed and stiff or not fluid. Like you're modelling even while dancing.
