In Sri Lanka, Porus was launched in January on Sirasa TV under the name Digvijaya'. The 260-episode series was bought by Maharaja Television (MTV) and was dubbed in the local language of Sinhala, in order to reach out to Sinhalese worldwide. The show is also being stream on Maharaja TV's digital platform.
Swastik Productions founder Rahul Kumar Tewary has said that the production house has also sold Porus' rights in five other Asian markets Malaysia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam without disclosing their names. It is also in talks with broadcasters in other markets like Africa and Easters Europe.
We have sold Porus' to TPBS in Thailand. We have also inked deals for six other markets. We are also in discussion with players from Eastern Europe and Africa, Tewary said.
