| Bye Bye Gujju beti, Jassi. Kanchi Kaul comes in | ||
| With a slew of new shows beginning on Sony, Yeh Meri Life Hai may be shown the door. Audiences might finally bid adieu to Indian television;s favorite Gujju beti come this November. According to our sources, the show might be relegated to a nondescript evening slot because of the shows woven around Indian Idol, which is starting November 21. The producer of the show, Vipul Shah has said that the show may go off air or be shifted to another slot. Move over, here comes Kanchi Kaul. For those wondering who Kanchi is, she is the new face who is touted to take over from where Jassi will leave, after the show Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi goes off air, in December. The show is Ek Ladki Anjaani Si, in which Kanchi will play the main lead. The show will also star Vikas Bhalla, Shakti Anand, Vaishnavi and Himani Shivpuri as her grandmother. Kanchi is not a new face on TV, as she is currently doing 12 odd commercials. Kanchi will play an 18-year old girl and will be paired opposite Shakti. Let's wait and watch if she really matches up to the hype that Jassi enjoyed. |
