1. According to the first promo...February 1990 is mentioned...Naina takraayi Sam se...that promo was made under weed influence and I will give you reasons why-

From the first episode aired till the next three months the environment looks gloomy and rainy...there is kichad, rainfall, etc in the show. So this means that ideally Sameer ran away from Nainital in June, at the start of 11th grade. Then joins PVKM immediately..he has missed studies of some weeks and hence Naina helps him. No part of India has kichad and rainfall in Feb...Atleast not Ahmedabad

2. Then bet phase start...kichad and rainfall is still there aas-paas...gaur se dekho episodes...Samina ko nahi ab ki baar kichad dekho...then Naina and Sam meet in Mandir...it is Shravan ka mahina...Shravan usually comes between July-August...in evry part of India...

3. Then by Oct-November they go for trip...it's winter...Sweater gifting, mini-honeymoon, la la land, bet revelation...

4. Then after trip by January 1991 Pooja ki shaadi...and ideally in the show Pooja's wedding card was never focussed...it was a spoiler pic which had Jan 1990 written on it...So technically it is not shown in the show. So Jan 1991 Pooja ki shaadi...

5. Feb mein Nanu technically dies...Farewell of 12th graders bound to happen in Feb...March mein unke exams hote hai...But weed makes a re-entry in Farewell episode...Instead of writing batch of 1990-91 on board, they write batch of 1990...😆

6. It's 1991 as Dil hai ke maanta nahi songs have started playing in the show...

7. Nanu dies, Sameer goes to Dwarka , and also back to Delhi...Aaj toh weed ke saath daaru bhi hai...Directly May 1991 ho gaya ...Nanu dies in Feb obituary in paper can't be in May😆...

Now I think I'm high on weed...Don't hit me for this post...I was just trying to help all confused souls...

Creatives took too much of creative liberty. I wish they would show it to be March instead or would've just shown "Delhi, 1991" even that would've made sense.
