Bye papa, a young girl was waving at her dad, smiling as her dad tickled her.

Geet was watching it from a distance and her vision was blurred, she made a mental note to get her eyes checked once she went back home. The girl had curly hair and a huge smile showing off her braces and she was now waving frantically at her father's retreating figure, the glasses made her eyes seem bigger than they actually were.

Suddenly it was dark and she felt suffocated by the eeriness in the air, there was a tiny light coming from the end of the hallway. Her eyes were blurry again but this time due to tears trickling down her face, after what seemed like an eternity passed by she went near the light and saw the diya lit in front of a framed picture of her dad.

She opened her eyes and found herself at her seat in the plane with a lone tear forming in her eyes, she smiled sadly...Memories did last a lifetime. She looked around at others who were asleep, the screen of her mobile brightened up and so did her face after she read the message,

It's going to be okay :) .

She turned towards Naina who blinked at her in reassurance and signaled her to sleep.

I am lucky to have a friend like you, Naina she thought before she closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.

Geet was woken up by the announcement being made by the captain on how they'll be reaching Delhi in 30minutes, she was going to enjoy her time here and she knew it.

Bhaiya, Golf Links jaoge? Khurana Mansion. Naina said as they boarded an Uber from the airport.

Why doesn't anyone know that we're coming home? What if no one's home? Geet asked.

Well...it won't be a surprise if we announce it beforehand, will it? And no worries baby, I've just messaged Dev that we're going to reach soon, Naina ended with a wink.

Both girls laughed at and stared out of the window, their laugh was short lived and horror took over their face as they realized they were stuck in TRAFFIC! After what seemed like hours they were finally standing at the gates of The Khurana Mansion.

We made it, Naina exclaimed feeling exhausted,

I'm so glad that I can finally feel my legs replied Geet sharing her exhaustion.

They dragged their luggage's behind them,

I'm really happy that you both are here!, Dadi surprised by hugging them.

But...

How did you...

...Dev!

Geet said and Naina caught on, she had message'd Dev that they were in Delhi.

You guys thought you'd reach by 30minutes! Underestimated Delhi traffic now, didn't you? came another familiar voice.

Hey Dev... both girls dragged their sentences.

It's been 8 years since I saw you and this is how you greet me Geet? And you! We're getting married, show some enthusiasm when you see your fiance he gave the girls a false look of accusal.

We're exhausted by the flight and the cab ride came the reply in unison.

Dadima ushered the girls inside and asked them to freshen up and have something for lunch, they sprinted towards their rooms to freshen up once they heard the word lunch.

And forget about all your luggage's at the door Dev mimicked Dadi's voice while rolling his eyes at the girls running like kids who just found a mountain full of candies.

The 4 of them had a great time during lunch, Geet and Dev spoke mostly about the internship, Naina called them both boring and imitated them talking business, Geet and Dadi had a blast while making fun of Dev and Naina until they turned red. Dadi and Dev had to leave for an important client meeting, so the girls decided to rest for a while.

It was around 7pm when Geet heard footsteps down the hall, she knew it wasn't Naina as she was fast asleep in her room as she came down she saw the silhouette of the man she hadn't met all day, Maan Singh Khurana! The pictures published by paparazzi and in the magazines did no justice to him, he looked even more handsome in person!
