Part 11: A Party Brings It All Back-
It was a week later, Uma and Kanak had given in their statements about Ryan and had decided to take a break from daily life, they didnt want to be far from home so had just stayed at Uma's house.
It was Sasha's birthday party tonight and Kanak was bored, so used to being on her feet all day she wasnt used to Uma constantly telling her to rest, she tried to pull the zip of her dress up for the 5th time and huffed loudly when once again she didnt succeed
Uma stood behind her, pulling the zip up slowly, his cold fingers brushing against her back made her shudder, he leant down pressing a kiss to her shoulder "You look beautiful, I dont know how i'm going to keep my hands off you all night"
Kanak turned to face him, bringing her arms up she rested them around his neck "Who said you had to"
Uma cupped her cheek "Lets go before I get to carried away"
Kanak smiled, "lets"

Uma pulled off Kanak's coat, handing it to a man he smiled
The man smiled at Kanak "Hi ma'am, I heard all you went through with Ryan and I just want to say you must be so strong"
Kanak smiled and muttered a thank you but had a very weird feeling as the man continued to watch her as she walked into the ballroom
Kanak hugged Sasha "Happy birthday"
Uma nudged her "Dont look a day over 30"
She frowned "Thats because im 25"
"Just ignore him, you look beautiful" said Kanak
"Keep a hold of this one Uma, shes to good for you" said Sasha
Uma looked at Kanak "Oh I know"
Uma tipped his head to the dancefloor and held his hand out "Wanna dance"
She rested her hand in his and winked "I thought you would never ask"
Uma led her to the dancefloor
Swaying slowly to the music, he twisted her out and spun her back in, "Seems you have other hidden talents up your sleeve then"
"Oh theres many more to come yet"
Kanak excused herself, "ill be right back"
After going to the bathroom, she went to wash her hands when she looked into the mirror, alarmed she stepped back and covered her mouth, the words written in blood read "You will pay"
Kanak ran out to get Uma but ran into the man who took her coat earlier
"Looking for someone miss"
"Uh yes, the man I came in with, do you know where he is"
She smiled and ran over to him when the man pointed to the bar
The man looked around before going into the bathroom
"Uma, Uma you have to come with me, theres something on the mirror in the bathroom" Kanak said quickly
Uma put down his glass and followed Kanak

"But, but it was right here " Kanak tapped on the mirror and rubbed her hand against it, Uma rested his hands on her shoulders and turned her to face him "Its okay, youre still in shock, its just your fear"
She allowed Uma to take her away but kept looking back at the mirror, she knew what she saw but was confused as to why it had dissapeared, was she going crazy

Ryan stood at the phone, he smiled "So you did as I asked"
"Of course, family have got to stick together hm" the man replied
"Dont let her out of your sight, now im trusting you with this plan, dont let me down"
"I would never"
"Alright Ryan, thats enough, back in your cell" the officer shouted
Ryan cut off and returned to his cell, lying down he smiled, it was just to easy

Kanak had gone to stand outside for some fresh air, a car pulled up infront of her, gloved hand holding out a present
Kanak took it and opened it
Cockroaches slid out of the box and with a scream she dropped it to the floor
Kanak turned to run back in, but as she reached the doors, Uma grabbed her
"Hey, whats wrong"
Kanak turned to point at the cockroaches but they were gone
The man from earlier held up a bag with them in and shoved them in the bin
"Nothing, nothing I just scared myself"
Uma held her to him, worried about what Kanak was hiding
