Part 6
Vandita's father called panditji to fix ishra marriage ,he checked the Patras and told that there is a very nice date for marriage after two days . Raman gave his details, according to which he made Raman's kundali and got it matched with Ishita's kundali , which vandu's father has provided and said that both are kundali's are matching perfectly . All got happy listening to him and congratulated each other .
Soon all started preparation for ishra marriage while Raman called his parents to chennai urgently. They asked what's so hurry but he told that he will tell everything when they will reach and informed that he has booked their tickets and insisted that they have to reach there at any cost .The day passed in jiffy ,next day he went to airport to pick his parents on time . Before going to airport he called vandu and asked about ishita ,she informed that ishita is as usual silent. Raman told her to take care of her for some hours ,till he reach there ,vandu agreed and he went to pick his parents .
He reached airport at time and was waiting for his parents ,when saw them coming . He walked to them and took their blessing ,they blessed him and asked that why he had called them so urgently . He told them to be patient and reached the hotel room . Toshiji asked angrily " Raman its enough ,tell me why you called us here like this , kahin kisi ladki ka chakkar to nahi hai , dekh I m telling you beforehand ,I will not accept any girl out of our culture . kyun bhallaji .
Mr bhalla - humm your mother is right ,how can you even think about marrying a girl in just four days .
R( calmly )- ma ,she is ishita .
T- (changing her expression)-what ! ishita mil gayi ? kahaan ?. but why are you marrying her when she didn't contacted you for such long period .
Toshiji looked at Raman getting angry on ishita and he told " ma ishita is not normal now ".
T- I didn't get you .
R- ma ,ishita has witnessed her parents murder in front of her eyes and from that day she is mentally unstable .
Toshiji was shocked listening to this and asked " where did you find her ".
R- in the same hospital where I came for visit ,she was doctor there .
T- pagal doctor .
R- (angrily)-ma please , you are my mother ,you know many things about mental illness, how can you call her mad . She is not mad .
T- I m so sorry puttar ,my slip of tongue.
R- she is also a psychiatrist like me but lost her mental balance after witnessing her parents death and was admitted in same hospital where she worked .
T- ohh ,that's so sad ,but now where is she ,in the hospital itself .
R- no ,she is now in her uncles house ,elder brother of Ishita's father .
Mr bhalla - I m feeling sad for ishita but puttar ,you want to marry her ?
R- yes papa ,you all know how much I liked her .ma bataao na papa ko .
T- haan bhallaji ,he always loved ishita but couldn't tell her earlier .
Mr bhalla - I understand your point but still marrying a unstable girl will be a nice decision ?
R- papa try to understand she is not mad just scared too much due to the sudden happenings of her life .she needs love and care more than medicines ,moreover I myself is a psychiatrist ,I will treat her . Ma ,papa please maan jaao , I can't leave her alone ,she is too alone . even you people will also fall in love with her ,the moment you will meet her .
Mr bhalla - ok take us to her ,we want to meet her .
R- at first ,you tell me that you are ready for marriage .
Mr bhalla - I just want to see you happy moreover I always liked ishita for you in your collage days also .
R- ok ,you people freshen up ,till then I will order tea for you ,then we will go there .
They nodded ,Raman ordered tea and snacks for them ,they freshened up and had it .After that Raman took his parents to iyer house . The house was getting decorated nicely while there was hustle bustle in whole house . Vandu father was instructing everyone to do everything perfectly when he saw Raman entering with senior bhalla . He welcomed them wholeheartedly and Raman introduced themselves to Mr iyer . He talked to them for sometimes while Raman asked for ishita. Mr iyer called vandu and told her to take them to ishita's room,she did same while Raman and Toshiji followed her . Vandu took them to Ishita's room and went from there ,bhallas entered the house and saw ishita sitting in the bed wearing a mehroon davani while her hairs were nicely tied in a braid and flower strings were tucked in it ,a small black bindi was adorning her forehead .She was looking too beautiful but was silent like always ,the spark of her eyes were missing , she was as usual looking towards certain direction. Raman showed ishita to toshiji ,she saw her and called her name but she didn't responded .
She felt bad looking to her condition while Raman took toshiji to her ,he called ishita ,she looked at him and he introduced toshiji to her . Toshiji went near her and pecked her forehead lovingly, while ishita closed her eyes feeling the soft loving touch for her . Toshiji then cupped Ishita's face and spoke looking at her " Raman she is so beautiful,looking too pure and innocent. Bechari ."
She then checked ishita and asked Raman " puttar when is the marriage ."
R- tomorrow .
T- then why she is sitting alone , moreover no one is applying heena on her hands and legs ,in madrasiyo me mehendi nahi lagaate kya .
R- no ma ,nothing like that .let me ask .
Saying so Raman went to ask about the mehendi while toshiji talked ishita about past ,when she visited their house ,she was listening to her keenly and was looking toshiji thoroughly as if trying to recognize her .Toshiji was still talking when Raman come and informed that they had already called the beautician ,she must be coming anytime and will apply mehendi . Toshiji stays with ishita while Raman went out to talk with the elders . Soon the mehendi girl came but ishita was not letting her apply mehendi ,she was again and again pulling her hands . All the girls tried but ishita was not letting anyone apply mehendi . Finally toshiji told that she herself will put mehendi on her DIL hands ,saying so he took Ishita's hands lovingly and started applying mehendi in it ,talking about Raman and her friendship . Ishita didn't pulled her hand as she was busy in listeming to toshiji's stories while toshiji signalled the girls to apply mehendi on her another hand and legs . All started doing quickly and soon get both hands and legs were full of mehendi .After that bhallas were leaving when Mr iyer stopped them for lunch . Raman took Ishita's food and went to feed her and went to her room when he saw she was crying ,he went near to her and asked
" hey ish what happened ,why are you crying baby ".
Ishita showed him her mehendi filled hands and legs ,and cried again ,he smiled on her cute antic as he understood that she was getting scared of the mehendi thinking that something has happened to her hands and legs . He make her eat her food and also make her understand and its nothing just mehendi and her hands will look beautiful by applying this ,he even showed some mehendi pics to her in his mobile and she got happy . After that he fed her and then bhallas went to do some shopping for the marriage .Though his parents were little reluctant but were ready for this marriage because of ishra .
Next day all reached the temple where the marriage was happening . Raman came wearing shrewani but Mr iyer gave vesti to him saying they wear this in marriage . He changed his dress and wore vesti and sat in the mandap , panditji started chanting mantras and called ishita after sometimes .Vandu along with her mother brought ishita holding her from either side and made her sit while ishita was emotional less as a doll . Soon the rituals of marriage started and panditji instructed Raman to fill ishita partition and tie mangalsutra . He took pinch of sindoor and was about to put it in hee partition when she started getting scared of the red color and started crying and struggling ,Raman pulled her in tight hug and filled her partition ,hiding the color from her and removed it from there .After some time she got normal ,then he tied mangalsutra and they were declared husband and wife . They went to elders to take blessing but only Raman bend while ishita was standing there ,elders blessed them wholeheartedly though bhallas were still not so sure that they are doing right by letting their son marry ,ishita .
They stayed in iyer house that day and next day bhalla's took leave from them to go to Delhi . Iyers came to airport to drop them . Bhallas bid adieu to iyers and were going ,Mr and Mrs bhalla entered the airport while ishita shrugged Ramans hand and snuggled into vandu . He turned to see her with confusing eyes when vandu cleared " may be she is scared of plane ."
R- ohh ,may bhi .koi nahi ,I will take care of her .
Saying so he cupped her face and asked softly " are you scared of plane ".
She looked at him then to vandu ,she signalled her to say ,then ishita nodded slowly ,he smiled on her antics and spoke pulling her into his embrace " arey its nothing ,I will tell you how to go ,then nothing will happen ".
He was talking to ishita and waved his hands to vandu, signalling her to leave ,she left getting his signal while Raman entered the airport showing their ID's talking randomly to ishita , hiding her in him .
