Is that even possible? While Gauri sat there unharmed, how can the Kaal Bhairav statue change this way?Doesn't seem to be manual work either because Dada Thakur and Panditji couldn't even move the statue. Also, who would move the statue when Gauri was there itself?
Its time they solve the mystery a little bit. First we had headless horseman inspired from the sleepy hollow. Now we have Maha harat's Bakasur episode inspired story.Next we will have a Harry Potter inspired story.

if the blast was so powerful that can move the statue which Dada Thakur and Pandit together couldn't move an inch, Gauri couldn't have sat there unharmed.

Maybe the impetus was more on the other side of the tunnel , the statue only got the tail end of the force , these stones are super heavy ... Rahul n namrata couldn't even move one ..

I'm only thinkng of a logical explanation

Tears on statues are quite a common phenomenon worldwide ... But this could be where we cross path from science to supernatural ... I'm ok with that ... I love the blend of both worlds

Ps thank you for bakasur reference , I googled it ... I didn't know anything about this myth

The temple is spread out on a large area
So may be only a part of the temple was affected
Also the blast happened underground
So mainly the underground part was affected
But the part where Gauri sat may have been quite far
So that part was unaffected

Really a Bakasur effect
One person as sacrifice from each of the houses
