After the mother of all fights in the first week itself, looks like we are ending the season with yet another totally unnecessary, childish fight.. On the flip side, could it be a strategy to let the cats bicker (Hina+Vikas) while Shilpa runs away with bread??? Hmmm.. ? Have to admit, this is one of the most confusing seasons of all times where nothing makes sense, including its contestants.. My take on the episode and 'en some..
1. Puneesh - as much as I laud his survival skills, I detest him more and more with each episode.. No, it is not because of his gossip girl act, but the slow poison he continues to spew.. If there is one person playing really well but dirty, it is him.. I had to laugh at his 'I would not meet Hina after the show'.. buddy and who are you really? This, after Hina (and Vikas) have been quite nice to him and assured him their help in settling down in the industry after the show.. He didn't have to stoop this low.. I bet he will put all the garbage he has spoken as part of the game after the show and they will still actually help him.. I am also willing to bet that Shilpa will nowhere to be found after and he knows it.. Such ungrateful people are my pet peeve.. Sorry!
2. Shilpa: She did what she does best and flipped, yet again.. It is back to Vikas Ji' is so genuine after he was such an evil actor on Sunday... Mental or actress much? Anyways - not much there other than how gorgeous she looked in that orange saree.. Wish we had seen more of that before..
3. Vikas: Paying heed to Arshi's advice, we saw him clawing his way back in the good books of Ms. Shinde.. How is it possible that you were on the extreme end of the spectrum with a person and in 2 days, looking fondly in her eyes and eating Rabdi.. Maybe a smart move given the current wave, but honestly, how do you ever trust someone like that in real life.. That said, I do admire his journey in the show and for me he is def. deserving of top 2.. I just don't agree with his methods.Maybe a smart player but there is something to be said about integrity.. But then this is Bigg Boss I guess..
4. Hina She was doing really well and I do feel she was just teasing Vikas.. She is very intense about wanting to win the tasks, even if it is not always to her advantage. It is great to have that kind of drive to always do your best, irrespective of the odds, but she does need to ease up a bit in life.. All the HM were seen talking about her wanting to make everyone loose, but if you apply their own logic that she knows 101% that she is not winning the show, why would she want to put her blood and sweat into saving the money for someone else, like Shilpa? She could have taken the easy way out like Puneesh.. To me, this shows commitment and professionalism to do well on anything you are assigned. For that, I doff my hat to her.. As flawed as she may be on a few things, she is a professional to the core..
5. Task: It was VERY clearly mentioned in the task that HM will do all 'koshish' to follow the orders - not that they HAVE to do it, else they are out.. As far as I see it, both Hina and Shilpa were doing their part.. Puneesh seemed to be in a hurry to get himself out of the task - inspite of Hina advising him to try and persuade Vikas.. I thoroughly enjoyed the start of the task and everyone was being quite a sport, including Shilpa.. Vikas's order on the sister act was a great idea... And then, when Hina decided to be somewhat cheeky and the moment called him 'lalchi bandar' - as expected Mr.Gupta flipped his lid, and then it was all downhill from there..
Curious tale of Vikas and Hina
There is an pattern with Vikas which is an interesting character study.. We (& HM), all know by now that he does not take as well as he gives and just cannot handle a joke on himself.. If you do not play by his rules or how he wants you to play, uss ka dhakkan ud jata hai.. The result is childishly escapist - 'jaao mein nahin khelta - bhaad mein jaao sab'.. There have been so many instances, for eg: When Shilpa was pushing his buttons, his reaction was to run away from the house Mujhe nahin khelna aur rehna yahan.. In every task where things did not go his way, he cried and played the everyone hates me card -eg: Dino task where he got caught in his own smartness and had to destroy Hiten's picture.. Shilpa may actually be onto something when she claims that he craves to be the center of attention and has this uncanny need to be loved by ALL.. When he gets that, he
will go to the end of the world for you and if you cross him, he will do anything to destroy you, even if it means destroying himself.. Hmmm..
Hina on the other hand is his kryptonite.. She sees through him and has this insatiable need to push his buttons to get a reaction that amuses her.. To top it all, both are fiercely competitive and there is this strange sibling rivalry where each wants to beat the other flat. . Vikas is more passionate about this than Hina, I feel.. He sees her as a formidable challenge who, unlike others, can read him like a book, while Hina HAS to crack his game and show him up since she just cannot cater to how his mind works. Vikas has admitted to her and others that only Hina can give him barabar ki takkar and he thrives on that challenge to be one up on her. Don't see this changing in this lifetime..
Today was no different and honestly both of them were totally childish in their fight and went OTT.. Hina did come around after she saw him getting all wound up, while Vikas resorted to his Jaao main nahin khelta' routine, much to the relish of Shilpa and Puneesh who were milking it to their advantage...
Whether they are right or wrong, I so applaud their spirit and never say die attitude,, Good or bad - both of them are definitely two very unique characters to compete in BB.
