NEXT DAY
Location: Shantivan, 2:30p.m.
Khushi's "godh bharai function went off very well. Khushi was looking beautiful in red net saree given by Arnav.
Pregnancy had brought about a glow on her fair skin making her beauty shine. Raizadas had hosted a big lunch for women who had come to attend Khushi's "godh bharai function and for their husbands or families. Parvati was busy with Anjali seeing to things required in the function. Now seeing Khushi getting tired, Parvati asked Devyani Raizada if she could take Khushi to her room to rest? Nani at once agreed and both Khushi and Parvati left the living room. With Parvati's help, Khushi changed, had her lunch in the bedroom and was fast asleep when Arnav returned after bidding his guests farewell.
Next day Khushi was keen to go to Chandni Chowk to have famous Delhi chaat. Although everyone Nani, Arnav and Anjali tried disuading Khushi but she didn't listen. Finally Parvati said, "Nani, Bhai-sa aur Di, kyun naa hum sab Khushi didi ke saath chaat khaane chalen? (Why don't Grandma, Di and Bro and all of us go with Khushi to eat chaat?)
"Babydoll, I can't come as I have an important meeting with a French company.
"Parvati beta, hum Chandni Chowk ki ubarh-khaabarh sadak par chal nahi sakte. (Parvati, I can't walk on uneven roads in Chandni Chowk.)
"Humare NGO mein Minister aa rahe hain. (My NGO is having a Minister's visit today.) Anjali said disappointed.
"Koi baat nahi hum Khushi didi ko le jaayenge. (Nevermind, I'll take Khushi.)
"Aap dono akele nahi jaayengi. (You both are not going alone.) Looking at NK, Nani ordered, "Nanhe aap Khushi aur Parvati ke saath jaayenge. (NK you will go with them.) NK's happiness knew no bounds.
Two hours later after having chaat, when Khushi, Parvati and NK were crossing a deserted alley to go towards their car, they saw a truck heading in Khushi's direction but Parvati pulled Khushi just in time before truck could collide with her and truck rammaged through a ruined, vacant and depleted building and luckily no one was hurt. Before Khushi and NK could stop shaking, suddenly a brown coloured large python with metallic sheen on its scales appeared. Again Parvati stood in between Khushi and the python but yelled, "NK, TAKE KHUSHI HOME RIGHT NOW ITS AN ORDER!
NK understood the urgency in Khushi's voice and guided a shaken Khushi back to car and then Shantivan. Once in the car, Khushi started getting pains and asked NK to take her to the hospital. While Doctors were examining Khushi, NK called Arnav and told him what all had happened.
Meanwhile Parvati transformed into a large brown cobra and started counter attacking but brown coloured large python
was extremely strong and its attack and venom was making Parvati weak thereby transforming her back into her human form and then she became unconscious. Suddenly a gigantic black python with yellow spots appeared and attacked the brown coloured large python thereby seriously injuring him. Seeing himself loosing the brown coloured python vanished. The black python with yellow spots transformed into human, Maan Singh Khurana. As they were in back alley there was no one around. Maan swooped Parvati in his arms and with a whiff of smoke disappeared with her.
Two hours later, when Parvati opened her eyes in the hospital she found Rana Rudrasen Rathore sitting by her bedside. Suddenly the door opened and a furious Arnav Singh Raizada walked in and thundered, "Maine kahaa thaa naa Chandni Chowk jaane ki koi zarurat nahi hai magar tum dono meri baat sunti kahaan ho! (I had forewarned you both against going to Chandni Chowk but you both never listen to me.)
"Bhai-sa, shaant ho jaayiye. Khushi didi kaisi hain? (Bro, calm down! How is Khushi?) Parvati asked slightly calming Arnav. "Paro woh... (Paro, she has...)
"Kya hua? Humne toh unhein truck aur ajgar dono se surakshit rakha thaa. (What happened? I managed to protect her against attack from truck and python.) Now Parvati panicked.
"Truck aur ajgar? Matlab? (Attack from truck and python? What do you mean?) Arnav questioned starting to get angry again. Parvati calmly tried to narrate the sequence of events. Arnav went near Parvati and caressed her head with love and concern. "Babydoll, maine zarur acche karma kiye honge pichle janam mein jo tum mujhe behan ke roop mein mili. Aaj tumhari hi wajeh se mera pyaar aur mera baccha alive aur safe hai. (Babydoll, I must have done some good deeds in my past life to get you as my sister in this life. Because of you both my love and my child are safe and alive.)
"Baccha? Matlab? (Child? Meaning?)
"Khushi has given birth to a baby boy. He is premature and in neonatal ICU for now.
Parvati looked around and saw Rana Rudrasen Rathore, "Bhai-sa, aapko inka bhi shukriya karna chahiye kyunki yeh hummein baccha kar hospital laye. (Bro, you should thank him as well as he saved me and bought me to the hospital.)
"Thank you very much for saving my sister Mr...
"Rana Rudrasen Rathore. Aapne hi toh inhein humare paas bheja thaa. (Rana Rudrasen Rathore. You had referred him to me.)
"Maine?? (Me??)
"Ms. Chauhan, Mr. Raizada didn't send me your assistant misunderstood. I had only mentioned that I was very impressed with your company's organizing of Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada's showroom launch party. I would like something similar to it.
"PAM... Parvati muttered getting angry. Before Parvati's anger could rise sky high, Rudra said, "Congratulations Mr. Raizada on becoming a father!
Bringing Parvati to the present, "Bhai-sa, hummein apne bhaanje (nephew) ko dekhna hai. ABHI! (Bro, I want to see my nephew. Right now!!)
"Paro, you have to first take doctor's permission. Arnav ordered in ASR tone.
Next day Parvati was discharged. First she went and saw her new born baby nephew. Then went to Khushi's room to see Khushi where there was massive debate going on what name to keep for the baby.
"Khushi betiya, Vidhyut' kaisa naam rehega?(Khushi, how does the name Vidhyut' sound for the baby?) Devyani Raizada said.
"Bahut accha hai Naniji. Magar hum chahte hain ki humare bacche ke naam mein Arnavji' kaa naam bhi chalke." (Very nice but I would a part of Arnav's name to be in our son's name.) Khushi said her wish.
"TohAarav rakhte hain. (Then lets call him Aarav?)
"Di, woh mere naam se milta hai jiss se bahut confusion hoga. I want ki uske naam mein Khushi' kaa naam bhi ho. (Di, that name is very similar to my name and will cause lot of confusion. I would also like a part of Khushi's' name to be in our son's name.) Arnav stated his wish.
"Toh baby ko Arush Singh Raizada' kyun nahi bulate bhai-sa? (Then lets call baby Arush Singh Raizada, bro.) Parvati spoke from the doorway.
"ARUSH! Bahut accha naam hai Paro. (ARUSH! Is a lovely name Paro.) Khushi exclaimed excitedly and turned to look at Parvati. When Khushi looked in Parvati's direction she gasped in shock, "Paro tumko...! (Paro, what happened...)Parvati was sitting on a wheelchair, had her right arm in a sling, tiny bruises on her face and a bandage on her forehead. Khushi was about to get up and go near Parvati but Arnav held her back. "Arnavji, aaj humare kaaran Parvati ka yeh haal hai. (Arnav, Paro is in this condition because of me.)
"Paro betiya, tumhei itni chote kaise lagi? (Paro, how did you get so badly hurt?) Devyani Raizada asked in a worried and concerned tone of voice.
Rudrasen and Arnav narrated what happened in Chandni Chowk while Parvati went near Khushi and placed her hand on Khushi's hand and whispered, "Khushi, hum aapko dikhen athva naa dikhen hum sadaiv aapke saath rahenge. Aap sheeghr ati sheeghr sakushal ho jaayengi. (Khushi, you may or maynot see me but I'll be always there for you.)
"Devi Maiyya aap? (Goddess Durga, its you?) Then Khushi relaxed, closed her eyes and slept.
Later in the day Parvati along with Rana Rudrasen Rathore left for Mumbai. After reaching Mumbai, Rudrasen left Parvati with her worried and concerned parents but after calming them down to the best of his ability. Soon Rudra reached his Hotel room and an angry male voice stopped him, "THEHRIYE RANA RUDRASEN RATHORE! (STOP RANA RUDRASEN RATHORE!)
