OS : Dazed
I felt a pair of strong arms come around me, hugging my petite form from behind. I could recognize that touch anywhere - it had to be him. I felt the warmth of his gentle breathing on my neck, and my eyes closed involuntarily to the sensation. He slowly turned me around to face him.
"Khushi, open your eyes,"
The raspiness of his voice sent tingles down my back, and I opened my eyes in... excitement? Oh my...
There he was, merely inches away from me, shirtless. Hey Devi Maiyya, what is happening?
He stood there in all his lean, muscular glory, smirking with his eyes, as if he was in absolute control of my weak heart. Well, he was, wasn't he?
I felt the heat rise to my full cheeks, my eyes stuck to his chest.
"Wow, Arnav ji... you're even more handsome than Salman Khan ji!" A girlish giggle escaped my lips before I could stop it.
Those eyes studied my face, before those delectable lips spoke.
"You're blushing, Khushi," He said, amused at my innocence.
His voice sounded fuzzy to my ears, since I had been staring at his face intently.
"What?" I asked.
"Get up, Sankadevi,"
My eyes widening, I straightened my back and leaned in, not sure if I heard right.
"...What?"
"GET UP SANKADEVI!"
I felt a tug on my arm and the next thing I knew, my bottom hit the merciless floor with a thud.
"Ouch! Buaji!"
"Hai re Nandakisore, what do I do with this girl? Get ready for work it's already 9:30!" A belan in her hand, she strutted off with the other hand on her head.
I rubbed my eyes groggily before my mind registered what had just happened. Gasping, I yelped in shock.
"WHAT was that dream?" Or nightmare?
I hurriedly got up and decided to take a shower to clear my senses before getting ready. Whatever happens, I have to avoid seeing that Laad Governor today.

"Chamkili! Thank God you're here. You won't believe what a hard time I'm having with ASR. He's just so difficult sometimes!" Lavanya huffed, leading me inside by my hand.
"That he is," I nodded while munching on some of the chana that rested on my palm. Looking around to see if the coast is clear, I hesitantly continued, "By the way, He's... not here is he?"
"No, he's by the poolside upstairs. Uff Chamkili, what do I do to make him understand?" Stressed Lavanya, eating a bunch of the chana from me.
"Lavanya ji, don't worry. He'll come around. You'll see!"
"But he doesn't understand how badly I want to spend my life with him. God ASR is just so dreamy you know?" She went on, smiling.
I almost choked on a piece of chana, gulping.
"Dr-dreamy? I- I don't know what you're talking about,"
"Yeah! His eyes are so nice too,"
Nice? More like... incredibly romantic. Intense. Warm. The richest color of molten brown...
"STOP IT KHUSHI!" It wasn't until I opened my eyes that I realized I had just yelled at myself like an idiot.
"Chamkili? You okay?" Lavanyaji looked seriously concerned.
"Huh? Yes, I'm fine," I replied in between nervous laughter.
"Oh God! I have a nail appointment in 20 minutes, I need to rush,"
Handing me a file, she said, "Could you please be a sweetheart and give this file to ASR? He needed it for work."
"But-"
"I'll be back Chamkili, bye!" She scurried off, the heels of her pink pumps clicking with every step.
Hey Devi Maiyya, now what?
"It's alright Khushi. Just give him the file and come back. Not that bad right?" I babbled on to myself, hoping no one near heard me. My heart rate increased with every passing second, and I tried to calm myself by thinking about the innumerable jalebis I was about to make tonight because of this.
"Yeah Aman. Tell them to wait for a while, I'll be there."
There he was. I peeked through the tiny opening between the half closed doors of his room to see if he was in an exceptionally bad mood this morning, just so I knew if I needed to pray a little extra to Devi Maiyya today. To my surprise, he seemed to be in a rather... good mood?
Arre Wah!
I grinned, relieved I wouldn't have to face that Laad Governor's wrath today. Just as I was about to knock, the doors unexpectedly opened right in my face.
"What the..." A pair of confused eyes stared into my absolutely terrified ones.
"Were you peering into my room?"
"NO! I mean, why would I be peering into Laad Gover- I mean - your room?! Do I not have anything better to do? It's just that Lavanya ji told me to give you this and I would have sent Om Prakash ji but I didn't see him so I came here myself so that-"
"Khushi. Stop rambling," I felt his hand come up to my lips in one swift motion. His piercing gaze never left mine, and I felt his palm graze my lips, tantalizing every part of me.
Dhak Dhak, Dhak Dhak...
He didn't look like he was planning on moving his hand from my lips anytime soon, and I wondered if I'd be able to take this sweet torture any longer. Just as I was about to gather the courage to say something, I saw the corner of his lips curl up just the slightest, while those eyes that intrigued me to no end, lit up.
He's... smiling.
His hand lowered from my lips and he crossed his arms, suddenly looking rather cocky.
"Your smile..." I sighed. His left eyebrow lifted in bewilderment, forming a perfect angle.
"My what?"
"Heh? FILE! I meant... file. Here, your file," Good recovery Khushi!
Handing him the blue file, I lowered my eyes in hopes to ignore how he was making me feel. My eyes shot up when I felt his fingers brush mine as he took the file from my hands.
"Um, I have to go now. Tata!" I flashed him an almost clownish smile accompanied by a short, skittish laugh, before sprinting downstairs.
Standing alone with a rather sad looking blue file, a rather amused looking Arnav with a faint smile playing on his lips, muttered under his breath.
"Unbelievable."
