After having watched the past couple of episodes, I could not help myself , and had to write a post on the Forum after ages. I am really enjoying watching RLHN, and the lead pair and their equation has definitely grabbed my attention...they are quite an adorable pair
Whenever I see them, I feel that both of them have come together just to complete the incomplete aspects of their life. Both Ratan and Diya are similar and dissimilar in many aspects. Ratan is like a mirror image of the 19-year old Diya, who always loved her freedom and given the choice, she would also fly away like the butterfly. Ratan is like a medium for Diya to remind herself of who she was, and how to live her life like that again. Of course she cannot become the same person, but Ratan can definitely bring out that bubby, chirpy 19-year old Diya from the inside of the stern authoritarian Diya
Similarly, Diya too is like a mirror to Ratan of what he should be as a Daata Hukum for his people and family. Fierce, Loyal, Brave and yet gentle and kind. He already is quite a courageous and kind man, but the way Diya has been portrayed from the beginning of this show, that is what he should become as the show progresses...cause both of them can learn a lot from each other
I also feel that there are times when Ratan feels the need for some validation as a responsible person alongside being a 'Knight in shining armour' because somewhere there is an undercurrent and inherent feeling of proving to Diya that he is no less than she is, and impress her, which a young man will definitely feel, if he has such a fierce and beautiful 'pehredarni'. Diya inspires him to be a 'MAN' who can take care of himself
Diya too finds a sort of inspiration from her 'Daata Hukum' to do things which any other woman should know how to do - for instance, in this case cooking. After spending 12 years guarding Ratan she has forgotten the girl/woman she used to be - a carefree fun-loving girl. Ratan inspires her to be a 'WOMAN' who can also do all those chores that women generally do other than working outside
So technically, Ratan and Diya inspire each other to explore those aspects of their personality which they have not explored yet. In Ratan's case it is definitely new, but for Diya, it is that old Diya she has hidden deep within herself to keep up with her position of being 'Baisa Hukum'
Looking forward to the evolution of these 2 characters; only if CVs don't mess it up!
