It was surprising to hear the homophobic
comments that the contestants of Bigg Boss
11 were throwing at each other. But it was
shocking to see that the some people inside
that house are racist too. Earlier in the last
week, the housemates has to vote to evict
one of the four contestants Luv Tyagi,
Sabyasachi Satapathy, Mehjabi Siddiqui and
Lucinda Nicholas. As the housemates began
voting and justifying their reason, but
Shilpa's reason to vote out Lucinda was not
only stupid, but highly racist. According to
the TV actress, Bigg Boss is an Indian show,
and Lucinda, who hails from Australia
should not be on it.
So it was only natural that soon after that
comment, Lucinda almost broke down, but
Vikas Gupta tried to console her. It didn't
stop there Akash Dadlani, who was quite
close to her (or maybe he was just faking it)
also decided to vote her out just because he
was not able to communicate with her in
Hindi. It became worse when Puneesh
Sharma chose to cast aspersions on her
character as he said that Lucinda, who was
not happy with Akash's advances towards

Thankfully then Lucinda got the most
number of votes and was evicted from the
house, because personally I wouldn't want
to be with those people under one roof.
Post her eviction, Lucinda admit that she
was deeply hurt with Shilpa's racist
comments as in an interview with Times Of
India, she said, "Shilpa and I had a great
rapport. She, in fact, had helped me so much
in my fake legal case inside the house. I was
really hurt when she gave that reason for
evicting me. I had cried and that came
across as an attack. It wasn't a good feeling
at all. But everyone in the house has their
own opinion and I can't do much about it.
She also added that Puneesh, Bandgi Kalra
and Akash, who claimed to be close to her,
but voted her out, and that is something she
could not digest. "I was really hurt after the
housemates nominated me for eviction.
People saying that my Hindi wasn't strong
made me really sad as I was trying my best.
Also Puneesh, Akash and Bandagi they were
very nice to me on face but they evicted me
out of the house. Puneesh told me if rest of
the housemates vote for Luv I would also do
it because I don't want to be singled out
and then he was trying to be my friend. But
when I asked him what if you do it first, he
said that won't happen. So I was hurt
because he said one thing and did
something else. Akash who gave me all the
attention and suddenly I was not his friend,
the Australian model was further quoted.
In my opinion, it was quite a shameful
incident. Ideally, the show runners should
have not aired it in the first place, but then
it's good they did, otherwise we wouldn't
have come to know that people inside the
house are not only homophobic, but racist
too.
