I liked the basic premise...it was realistic...Shivaay likes to do things his way, on his own terms and when he sees a plan failing, he has to pin it on someone other than himself first...he likes to believe that he alone can do things successfully even though his own plans have failed many times😆...I guess that is an expected trait from a guy who's built up his own business empire.
He was not at all privy to what all Anika had gone through in his absence in trying to execute things while he was out...minus point to him for not even bothering to listen or hear her out...but then that is what happens in anger...he was so frustrated over the failure of the plan that he didn't want to hear any excuses.
Now coming to the main point of the argument...in anger, out come the real underlying issues that we otherwise gloss over in our love for someone...Anika has been almost unrealistically accommodating of a random fake wife lounging around her husband and this was a major point of irritation for me since last week...seems like the writers put this in only as a reaction to some criticism by the fans😆...nevertheless, I liked that Anika raised it...and she raised it in a valid way...it built up from her first trying to patiently explain to him what Tanya had done in terms of taunting her, breaking her phone, but then hearing Shivaay actually DEFEND Tanya and saying it's none of her fault and she was just doing her job and Anika should have done hers😕, that is when Anika lost patience...and no one can blame her.
Shivaay beta, sometimes itna bhi "factual" hone ki zaroorat nahin hoti...He seems to think that just cuz it's obvious that Tanya doesn't mean anything to him, Anika shouldn't even be raising her as an issue and should be busy only focusing on the "raaz wala plan"...this lack of sensitivity towards Anika's emotions as a wife...Shivaay is being obtuse here and obviously hypocritical as well cuz if the roles were reversed, he would raise HELL over any random guy posing as Anika's fake pati...his focus is all on getting to the bottom of the raaz and somewhere in all of that, Anika's emotions as a wife got sidelined...perhaps he will realize later...but as usual he's dropped the ball despite all his grand promises...it's not out of character, though...that's important to note...he is fully capable of not seeing the big picture when he's fixated on getting to the bottom of something...today, he was operating under the presumption that Anika couldn't handle this issue so she's using Tanya as an excuse...no matter how much he loves Anika, he still thinks that she can't handle things😆 and likes to argue to cover up her mistakes.
Anika for her part, stood her ground and spoke the truth which I was glad to see...and then came Daadi😆
Daadi brings the perspective of the elders who always expect the woman to salvage things...the age old wisdom playing out...from what I understood of Daadi's dialogues, she didn't justify Shivaay, but pointed out that as a man, he will many times be obtuse to things and in times like that, it will fall to the woman to be the bigger person and not let these things affect their relationship.
So Anika understood, swallowed her hurt and resolved to not let 2Rs. fights hurt their relationship...much as I feel bad for her, in that moment, I couldn't say that this was an unrealistic thing...in any relationship, there will be many times when more often than not, a woman will step up to be the bigger person when the man will say callous or obtuse things no matter how nice a person he may be otherwise...I feel that is what this moment was about today.
Shivaay loves Anika immensely, but he is still flawed as a person...and those flaws surface periodically...in an ideal scenario, I'd like to see him LEARNING from this situation, realizing he's been insensitive to Anika by parading a fake wife in her face for whatever reason and the fact that he ALONE can't fix everything, that Anika is a partner to him in everything.
Since the writers seem to like throwing in token things based on audience criticism, let's see if they go this way and show any realization from Shivaay down the line...Talk is easy, walking it is harder...that is what Shivaay has to learn.
It's interesting...one day he's showering such immense love, concern, affection on her, cherishing her like the most precious thing in the world and the next moment, thanks to his temper, he won't see how he hurts her...it helps that Anika is immensely strong herself and doesn't back down from a fight, gives it back as good to him...or this relationship wouldn't work😆...she takes in Daadi's gyaan but that doesn't mean she will just roll over...she will find a way to do this in her own Anika way I think😆
