Rani is shocked to see Raj. Raj is unable to meet her eyes. Puneet sees Raj in a driver's uniform and calls Shalini. He takes her to where Raj and Rani are and tells Rani that she should be praised, as she always is with her husband no matter what his condition is. He tells Raj that he has the best qualifications for a job and even has an MBA degree but he chose to be a driver. Shalini tells him to keep quiet but he doesn't listen. Rani's friend tells her that she told him her husband is a sales executive. Puneet tells her that he got fired. He tells Raj that he should've thought of Rani before taking such a job. Rani tells him not to think that they are weak because they are silent. She tells him that if they open their mouth, it wouldn't be good for him. She leaves from there in anger. Shalini follows her. She tells Rani that she and Raj made a joke of them in front of everyone. Rani tells her that Raj didn't do anything wrong, as he is working to earn a living for them. Shalini tells her that he hid the truth from her. Rani tells her that Puneet is also hiding something from her but Raj hid the truth so that she wouldn't feel hurt but Puneet is hiding the truth out of his own selfishness. Raj hears their conversation.
Rani is crying at home when Raj returns. He says sorry and tells her that he didn't want to see tears in her eyes that's why he hid the truth from her. He tells her that he searched everywhere for a job but he wasn't able to get any. Rani tells him that she is not hurt because he is a driver but because he hid it from her. Surekha is about to enter the house but is shocked by what she heard. Rani tells Raj that the job is not meant for him but he sacrificed to keep her happy. Raj tells her that he used to feel upset about his job but when he sees her happy, he forgets everything. Rani hugs him.
Surekha confides in Rajendra. She tells him that Raj should own a car but he is someone's driver. She shows him an old newspaper, with Raj's photo in it. She tells him that he was ranked first in the whole Maharashtra. Rajendra tells her that he feels bad for Raj but proud as well, as he is not just living for himself but for others. He tells her that a 'pundit' once told them that they would feel proud of Raj and he certainly is proud of him today.
Rani reads the Ramayan to Rajendra the following day. It mentions that a wife should support her husband at all times. She thinks of something.
Raj is about to leave for work when Rani tells him that he should not work for others anymore but should concentrate on his dream of building houses for people like them. Raj refuses but Rani tells him that she knows that he is worried about their household expenses but she has decided to work so that he could concentrate on his dream. Raj refuses to let her work but she tells him that she would leave her job as soon as he fulfills his dream. Raj finally agrees.
Rani is about to leave when Raj offers to drop her. She tells him that she wants to go on her own, as she knows that with his love be her side, she would definitely succeed.
Surekha is at the 'mandir'. She prays for Raj and Rani. Rani comes there, too. After she prays, she takes Surekha's blessings and tells her that she would be looking for a job. Surekha tells her that she would definitely succeed in finding one.
