Bhansali's Padmavati was unveiled just
recently which had literally led to a frenzy on
social media. Her look got a thumbs up from
both critics and fans alike.
However, seems like the film also starring
Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the
lead role, is in trouble yet again.
According to a news report, the Rajput Karni
Sena members set the posters of Sanjay
Leela Bhansali's Padmavati on fire in Jaipur
seeking pre-screening of the film for Hindu
outfits.
Well, this is not the first time, the self-
proclaimed self-righteous groups have
made such demands.
Recently, when Ranveer, who essays the role
of Alauddin Khilji, tweeted the logo of the
movie announcing the arrival of Rani
Padmavati, the Twitter handle of Rajput
Karne Sena tweeted back to him saying,
"Rani Padmavati padhaar rahi hain...kal
suryoday ke sath" to which the Sena handle
tweeted writing, "Rani Padmavati agar Rani
Padmavati ban kar padhaar rahi hain toh
swagat hai, varna rukawat ke liye khed
hoga. The warning has been pinned to
their Twitter account.
The members of Karni Sena had earlier
vandalised the sets of the movie in Jaipur
and Kolhapur respectively. They had even
manhandled the director during the process
which created a huge furore.
The members reportedly objected to reports
of a romantic dream sequence which was
said to take place with Alauddin and Rani.
However, Bhansali had later clarified that
there's no such scene in the film and that it
was just a rumour.
Padmavati is slated to release on December
1, 2017.
