But in general before the wedding, the PRIEST ties a HALDI wala Dhaga like a Raksha Dhaga , Right hand for Groom and Left hand for Bride. They are tied seperately but it is done before the wedding.
IT IS CALLED KANKANA !!! and it is VERY SACRED .
So SACRED that ones they TIE THE KANKANA you cannot leave the ALTER !!
