No friggin way! How can you not smile like an idiot after watching today's episode?! The hopeless romantic within me was doing the disco, bhangra, free style dancing, all at once š Usually I do the praising at the end. But today I'll do it in reverse. Barun and Shivani: chummis and jhappis. Tum dono chah gaye! š What a refreshing onscreen partnership. I speak solely for myself when I say that this is the best onscreen pairing I've seen in a long time.
Chandni knew it. Come what may, her Dev wouldn't ever leave her in trouble. That is the conviction, the faith that she has in their childhood friendship. In her Dev and in the unspoken love that is brewing between them.
Advay was restless. Kept on glancing outside of the window. Restraining himself from going down to Chandni. After all, it was her choice. He didn't ask her to do this. But no matter how hard he tries, he just can't get her out of his system. They are bound together. Whether it's due to childhood memories. Friendship. Or even pain. Raw pain. Fact of the matter is they are inseparable. Fate won't allow it.
Seeing Chandni wince in pain as a heavy branch falls on her foot makes Advay anxious. But he doesn't budge. Chandni, however, still believes. Her Dev will come. And he does. He would never have allowed that tree to fall on Chandni. Holding the branch in one hand until he bleeds, Advay and Chandni gaze at each other intensely. Advay firmly holds out his hand to Chandni, who refuses to accept his help until he admits that he cares for her.
Advay is frustrated. He clenches his fist, and releases it again, giving her one more chance to take his hand. Chandni's non cooperation leaves him with no choice but to take her in his arms and back into the house. I totally loved Murli and Shilpa's childish giggling. Their commentary followed by a quick escape was adorable. Shippers zindabad š But how adorable was Chandni's constant blabbering. The more she tried to get Advay to admit he cares, he would respond with a simple shut up š
And how beautifully Chandni fits into her Dev's arms. There was something serene and poetic in how they looked together. Chandni gently rests her head on Advay's shoulder, and he feels it. He feels her there - with him, in that moment. He slowly turns to look at the soft, pristine beauty, and he appears to be in awe of her. And in that moment, it is Dev, not Advay, with his Chandu.
Advay takes Chandni into her room, and leaves her there. She calls out to him, but he pays no attention, until he hears her wince in pain. Funny how the man who claims he isn't concerned for her doesn't waste another moment in attending to her š He asks her why she's making a noise, and sees her bleeding foot. he tells her off for her antics, and brings out the first aid box.
Chandni enjoys every moment of seeing her Dev take care of her. She even directs him to gently blow on her wound...and he does it. Just like that š He even notices that she has a temperature. And hands her a tablet. And he says he doesn't care. Ok š
Wah re, Advay. Ya phir Dev? Aap kehte ho ke parwa nahin hai. Lekin aap ne baar baar saabit kiya ke parwa hi parwa hai. Aur yeh parwa pyaar ke taraf pehla kadam hai. Sambal ke, Dev Babu!
But who would've thought that this seedi saadi bholi bhali looking Chandni would have such a mischievous side to her š How smartly she fell asleep and tightly grabs hold of Advay's hand just in time before he manages to leave. Perfect timing, girl! Advay tries to break free at first. But gives up. Chandni is physically asleep, but her heart and mind still present with her Dev. She becomes emotional. Pleads with her Dev not to misunderstand her.
She can't bear to see hatred in his eyes for her. She tried to get in touch. She wrote letters to him. He has to believe her. Advay gently wipes the rolling tear from Chandni's face. He hasn't melted yet. But this moment is significant enough to prove that Advay's words and actions don't match. He is fighting his inner demons day in and day out.
Sleep takes over and Advay dozes off next to Chandni. But the sun rises and he wakes up first, and tries to make a dash for it. But he can't. Chandni is holding on to his arm tightly. What makes it worse is Nani's intrusion. (lol, this reminds me of a convo I once had with Nandini and Huma...except it was naughtier) 𤣠Advay's panic was EPIC! Nani carries on calling out to Chandni.
In acrobatic style, Advay jumps over Chandni to the other side š Nani comes closer and closer. Advay pulls a deep sleeping Chandni up so that Nani can feel her, lol. He succeeds. Job done without Nani finding out that Cheeku is present in the room. But wait...Nani calls out to her Cheeku to come down when he's ready š Advay, Nani mann se dekthi hai. Remember that š¤£
Advay thinks it's over. But nope. Chandni wakes up to find Advay's arms wrapped around her. She fake sleeps again, grabbing his arm even tighter in the process and asks him to let her sleep š Advay wiggles his way out of Chandni's grip, lol. And once again reminds her to stop calling him Tum or Ji..but Chandni playfully asks him - then how shall I address you? š
There are giggles and whispers at the dining table. Murli has clearly informed everyone about yesterday. Adi comes up with some epic comments š His C.M should call his Mami baby, since that's what you do to babies - you carry them in your arms š Advay flashes Murli a sharp stare. It's all in light humour and the family for once enjoying a moment without too much stress. Oh wait, Leela Maasi is still there so...š Advay's 'baby' joins the rest of the family for another moment of light hearted banter. It's all fun and play. But for how long...?
Side note: LOVED the episode. But yeah, I'm a hopeless romantic who gets kicks out of my OTP romancing 𤣠Guys, we gotta show support for our show. Constructive criticism is equally important for growth. But at this early stage of IPK3, we should give it our backing. Just a 2 rupees request, aap ki Zinnia ke taraf se :)
Side note 2: ending this from where I started - praise for Barun and Shivani. Hail to the King of Romance...Barun Sobti. You GORGEOUS man š And take a bow, Shivani Tomar. You are proving many wrong š Wonderful onscreen partnership. Simply WONDERFUL ā¤ļø
Last minute remembered wala side note: Chandni's hair stuck in Advay's watch...how delicately he tries to release the strands. Uff! Dev Babu. You can be so gentle
