Chapter 34 - The Reality!

"Page 3 News, how did that happen?" His phone beeped...

"Not part of our plan and I have no idea... Maybe just paparazzi cooked up story... Hope it doesn't spoil our plan..." He messaged back...

"Yeah, let's wait and watch... Things were moving in right direction. Hopefully this doesn't change a thing..." She replied...

"I just hope we are on the right track and not creating more problems..." He replied concerned with all the happening around...

Khushi could not believe her own eyes... They were contract marriage papers... It clearly said 3 months Contract Marriage of Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada... On proper official bond papers...

Khushi went through the stack of papers but did not see any date so she was not sure when he made these documents... The papers looked legal with signatures of lawyer... She remembered signing papers a day after their marriage... She trusted Arnav so much or rather she never thought about anything like contract marriage in the first place...

She just took out few blank papers and put the Contract Marriage papers back in its spot along with remaining bundle of blank papers... She fed in the papers in printer to allow his work fax to come in...

She looked remaining drawers but did not find any other marriage certificate or divorce document... Still the 3 months marriage meant their marriage is over long back...

Seeing the Contract Marriage papers was a blow hard enough to burst her bubble... A bubble where she dreamed happily ever after with him... She didn't realize for how long her body went numb... She sat there frozen for how long, she herself did not know... She had lost her senses by then and did not know what to think of all this...

Her world collapsed in just one day or rather in last few hours... The reality started seeping in her mind...

Arnav was still in the conference room watching the video stream sent by the private detective...

"So it doesn't look like any foul play by Ankit or anyone else there... Khushi is just one of the most popular contestant on the show... She is young and beautiful too... Maybe it just so happened that Ankit never failed to acknowledge and appreciate her talent and always praises her openly so it kind of garnered attention... Pictures don't tell the whole story but that is all there to it... Even the show team has no involvement in this, though this will only boost TRPs... Maybe just a paparazzi gimmick we can guess, since young and happening celebrity like Ankit and equally budding star like Khushi is involved. There is no denying there is lot of buzz around the show and even Khushi these days because of her rare talent at such tender age and her innocent beauty... You have to accept it, Arnav" Aman tried to dissect the video information with authoritative tone knowing what is at stake...

"And after the fiasco last time, Khushi has never talked about her personal life or marriage and you never want to show off your relation... So all the rumors are based on the world thinking they both are eligible bachelors and look great together!" Aman mocked ASR without hesitance giving him the truth... He knew it would hurt but he could feel for Khushi more this time...

"Now if you are convinced and less angry at your Khushi, go and meet her... She doesn't look that well... Hopefully you were not mad at her" Aman asked him even though he was sure about things Arnav does with his famous ager...

"Why the hell she is here? She needed to get ready and go to her sets this morning. She will drive me nuts one day!" Arnav screamed and got up to rush to his cabin...

"And you both will drive me nuts because you don't want to express your love and admit it... Arnav, you are the biggest fool" Aman whispered to himself shaking his head...

Arnav didn't find Khushi in his office... He called receptionist to see if she knows Khushi's whereabouts...

"Sir, I saw Khushi Madam going towards parking lots just now..." Sia replied to him politely.

"Thanks" And Arnav rushed to parking lot...

Khushi was still lost in her own thoughts trying to understand the sudden changes in her life since today morning...

"What does this all mean? Had she signed the contract papers assuming marriage registration papers? Does it mean her marriage with Arnav is over long back? Was she staying with him without any proper relation? What will her parents feel if they know this? Hey Devi Mayya, why didn't I die before doing such a horrible thing? So my marriage was never a valid marriage? Arnav was never serious and always wanted out of it by hook or crook... Hey Devi Mayya, why did you do this to me? And what should I do now?" She was on the verge to cry again

"But then he always flirted with her these days, and acted so possessive about her... All his care, gifts and thoughtful behavior... He never missing a chance to kiss her all the time..." She closed her eyes and didn't see a car coming towards her...

Arnav saw Khushi walking when he walked out of the elevator, she was completely lost standing in the middle of the parking lot and a car coming towards her...

"Khushi, step away!" Arnav shouted trying to run as fast as he could towards her...

"Are you crazy?" He could barely pull her away from the car just in time...

"Huh" She could see a car drove away and found herself in Arnav's arms...

"Khushi, its okay... You are fine, I am here with you..." He just kept patting her... He felt tremendous guilt for shouting at her in the morning...

"Are you ok? You were supposed to go to your set this morning right? Why are you here? Did you eat your breakfast?" He asked her genuinely...

"No, I couldn't" She just whispered...

"Aman, Manage meeting with Mr. Sharma. I might be out till lunch..." Arnav ordered Aman over phone and took Khushi to the car...

He asked Mohan to get something packed for her and called his Di to pack her sari and accessories she will wear for the show...

"Arnav, I was thinking maybe I will not go on the show... It's okay... I will convince my Babuji also..." She knew how much he has come to mean to her... She can leave anything for him...

"Why love has to hurt so much? I will not be able to forgive myself for backing off from the show which is my dream with my father. But I will if it saves my relationship with Arnav" Her heart cried... Tears rolled down from her eyes...

"Are you mad Khushi? Never... Don't even think about it... I was just angry at you baby in the morning and I am so sorry but we will sort it out later... You need to go to the show... And do your best..." Arnav sat in the car with her and hugged her tight consoling her... He was responsible for her condition...

"I will never be able to forgive myself if you back off Khushi... I mean it... I really want you to participate, can you do that for me and for your Babuji? Please?" Arnav begged her...

"Look at me Khushi, finish eating and we will pick up your attire from home and I am going to drop you to your show... There is nothing to worry about" Arnav was trying to make understand as if she is a kid...

"Ok" Khushi could see his behavior was honest and she agreed...

"Remember, I am always with you... Always..." He wished he could tell her how much he loved her and get over with... But she is so vulnerable right now, he couldn't decide if it was a good idea right now... He could wait for another day for himself but will it be good to tell her right now just before her show or not, he could not decide...

"We will figure things out together... Please trust me. And I have a huge surprise for you after the show... Even the contract documents are ready!" He couldn't help but give her a little hint to divert her mind...

"What contract documents?" She asked instantly...

"It's a still surprise baby... And it can wait... All you have to do right now is focus on your show and cooking and that is it... All the best" He kissed her forehead...

His behavior was confusing her even more... He acted absolutely normal with her for now but then he was talking about their contract marriage... What does he want, she was not sure...

"Oh crap, just because divorce is in the process, now we have to make two separate documents?" Arnav screamed at Aman...

The restaurant space he was buying for Khushi from a couple and they were going through divorce. So lawyer suggested to make separate documents to get it signed from both parties to avoid future mishaps...

"Aman, do whatever it takes... Make two separate documents and let's get it signed...Arnav was angry with all the delays and roared...

Khushi was stunned hearing the divorce word... First contract marriage and now divorce, her head was already spinning...
