It isn't just yeh rishta, this is done in every other show, especially after the girl gets married in a rich household. I remember I used to watch this show, before marriage the girl had very neutral make up but after the wedding it become a, thick shiny layer of make up painted in her with extra pink cheeks, (though the actress still looked pretty) that too for every day bases here at least heavy make up is done only for functions.

@anujha if Shivi did that then media would right articles saying that she makes fuss on little things and her haters would speak against her on that point (no offence to the topic maker, she only talked about the make up artist and doesn't pick on everything Naira/Shivi does.).

The character Naira should still be youthful, light makeup and sweet. Her clothes should also be more youthful. They are dressing her as if she's much older. I hope they will take the advice of fans and change this 😊

what more youthful dressing u want?this is y i dont like such post.the topic maker posted abt her dissatisfaction abt makeup n here comes tons of complaints which not even a problem.naira wears jeans,plazo,maxi dress,kurti,skirts,shirts,off-shoulder,sleeveless,crop top,long top,short top,suit,saree everything..i dont know which other FL in indian television have u seen wearing such ranges of clothes n what is more youthful than wearing all these..

I think you said it perfectly. I get she belongs to a rich family and all that. But sometimes it is just too much and is distracting.

Anyway I have watched a lot of indian serials and now I watch this one randomly and read the written updates. Indian television has a lot of progress that is yet to be made. Meanwhile there are some shows that have been very successful in other countries and they have become so popular that they are being dubbed in different languages around the world to meet the demands of an international audience. One series I watched has a lot of indian fans and I hear they will eventually be showing the series in India and I bet everyone is going to go crazy about that show as Indians have already gone crazy for that couple. There is no couple in indian tv quite like that. Maybe some of you have heard of Hayat and Murat. There are lots of clips on youtube dubbed to hindi songs.

Yes please tone down the lipstick at least. Sometimes her makeup is really too much and sometimes hardly there, need to find a middle ground.

I honestly don't understand what is going through the heads of the producer/ director to let shivangi always shoot scenes where her makeup is like that. I saw today's episode and shivi's makeup put me off so much. Why don't they tell the makeup artists to stop giving her drag queen makeup, and make her makeup more pretty and soft? Shivi is such a doll and so naturally beautiful, but they literally make her into a makeup ki dukaan. Just because it is a function, it doesn't mean they have to go OTT with her makeup. Her eyebrows looked so thickly drawn on and look like black blocks, her eyeshadow isn't at all blended, and they need to take it easy on the bold lips. Plus the overuse of eyeliner. This kind of makeup ages her ridiculously, and it is no wonder poor shivi keeps getting mocked for her makeup, when the makeup artists who work on her are terrible. You would think they would hire good makeup artists, or at least these so-called makeup artists would have a sense of what looks good on a person. Please tell me I am not the only one annoyed about the way shivi's makeup is done?
