So yesterday when they brought in this babay (who is damn cute, btw and chubby too!), I had a few issues with the whole track and I've given my take about it, in here:
But try as much as I may, I couldnt come to terms with Advay's misunderstanding. It just dint add up.
Clearly, he has no problem that Chandni had an affair or that she's not a virgin. His problem is that she has abandoned the baby. And he's disgusted.
That bit is just wonderful. Its just highly applaudable.
But see, MU with a kid is huge.
She suffered from an incident. And she has PTSD. And he thinks she's the mother.
I was replying to the comments in the thread mentioned above and that's when my batti goddamn jali!!
Okay, now its starting to make sense.
The kid is hardly one year. Or maybe around a year or something?
And all Advay knows is that Chandni's been abducted from the market or some crowded place or something. He doesn't know when.
So, according to him, its like, she's given away her kid even before this entire abduction has happened.
Coz he wasn't told that she was abducted exactly a year back or that she was still studying when that happened.
With the way she's withering like a leaf, he must have thought that its pretty recent. Like may be 6-8 months back? Plus the abduction was for just 3 days.
[Now new doubt arises! Since how long has Shilpa been working for Vashishts? Does she know of the abduction, or is all she knows is the missing of Chandni for 3 days?]
Coming back,
So, its not like he doesnt believe her abduction. Or her PTSD. He does (or atleast I think he does).
It is just over-written by his disgust that she has abandoned her own child.
Viola!
Now everything makes sense to me. I mean, everything from Advay's POV.
So, its like...he will keep her fear of water, closed rooms, bheed and all in mind and will avoid pushing her into them; but that doesnt mean he hates or is disgusted by her.
Phew!
Now..I'm at peace!!!
