Suggest social causes that movies should be made

We have seen movies made on open defecation, women empowerment, corruption subjects like TEPK, Pink, Naayak etc. I am sure they can make some good movies on other issues too. What do you think is the pressing issue that deserves bollywood attention.

I know this will cause uproar, but a movie on the plight of "general category" should be made.
Yes I am very aware of the atrocities and unfair treatment of the lower castes and minorities done by our forefathers and why the reservation quotas were created.
But a good social satire about a Brahamin guy faking his identity to get a schedule caste certificate to get a government job will be a great subject.

Maybe dowry, there's not been enough films about this topic,and even if there are,they didn't reach the mass. Also maybe domestic violence,showing that both genders go through it n it happens a lot in upper class families too. Also films accepting and talking about homosexuality sensitively n normally.

I want a movie to be made on child sex abuse... Where the abuser faces hell on earth as a consequence of his actions

Water conservation. People haven't realised the dangers ahead in time. A good hindi entertaining movie might just wake them up somehow. 😆 or scare them for two hours atleast 😆

How about an Bollywood version of Superbadd or House Party

Food, water, toilets, electricity these are very basic requirements today everywhere. Swades highlighted electricity issue too. Now we have Toilet. Why not Water ?


Was watching Crime Patrol few days back. There was an episode where in few areas in Rajasthan women of the villages have to walk 15 kms to fill water from a well. So it's daily 15+15 kms walk for them. And surprisingly to handle this responsibility, women happily let their men marry 2/3/4 times because then wives would get support or relief in that job as they would have more than 1 person from each household to fill water.


😕 Quite disturbing and appalling case according to me. I am sure this is just one crime (multiple marriages not allowed in Hindu) but there would be definitely multiple negative impacts of this including health, education and corruption etc. too. Would like to see a movie on this as it's sheer failure of our 71 yr old Government to even provide as basic necessity as water to everyone.


Main Azaad Hoon movie had one terrific dialog on this 😉 , I dont remember the exact dialog but it was something on this line - '40 saalon mein aap XYZ nahi kar paye (list of things)... but 40 saalon mein aap logoko ek boond paani bhi nahi de paaye toh kya kiya itne saal 😎 ' .. One of my fav Bachchan dialogs 💔

Corruption. Movie like sivaji in bollywood will be huge.

Another one movie that I personally want to make is the issues that Northeastern people face in mainland India.

Like every northeastern person is somehow a chinese, every northeastern girl is a s**t/easy, every northeastern person eats dogs/cats/even humans, every northeastern person knows how to play guitar&sing, every northeastern person is fluent in English, every northeastern person eats insects and so on.
