Tess, I too wanted to smack Yash Ji for troubling his wife who was turning into a huge whale. How could he not see that she is caring a child in her *Stomach!*. In your words SMH.
But then we all know that once Yash Ji fell in love with her, he won't hesitate to show his passion, his love for her in front of his kids or his family members. I think she too knows this and loves this that is why in her subconscious state, she strongly reacts on his actions cause she knows that later he will end up doing something that will make her feel more special and fall in love with him all over again. Maybe more then before.
I actually hate this superstitious that if a pregnant lady eats this then her baby would turn out like this or if she eats this the baby will turn out like that. Seriously how does it matter how the baby turns out (gender wise and color wise), as long as both baby and mother are healthy one should not worry about anything else.
That is what Yash wanted to prove to her.
He knows that even Aarti doesn't believe in all these superstitions, but then it's not her fault that her pregnancy hormones kick in and makes her act in silly ways. But those silly things is what her husband loves the most in her. He finds her not only adorable when she does those silly things but he finds her to be more beautiful, more desirable and more passionate.
Maybe that's why he riles her up!
I think they both love it. Yash to rile her up and she to react in such silly ways. After all the end result is what they both want and desire for, isn't it?
It only increases their love if not their passion for each other.
