Chapter 29 - Anjali in India to cheer Khushi!

"Di, what a pleasant surprise?" Arnav hugged her and was shocked to see her but looking at NK and Nani he could see they had planned a surprise... No wonder Nani asked him to work from home today...

"Nani and NK, you both are doing too many things behind my back... I need to keep an eye on you both... Love your surprise though..." Arnav teased both...

"We really wanted to see Anjali and especially Sonia so we used excuse of Khushi's show and final rounds that she has qualified for so we called Anjali to enjoy the show with us live here instead of watching late telecast in UK..." Nani informed him...

"Not bad Nani, I didn't think of it but make perfect sense... Having Di around is always a pleasure... And my darling doll Sonia..." Arnav took Sonia from his Di to everyone's surprise she went to him easily without any cry or any scare on her face...

"Di, she is little copy of Jiju... She is so adorable... So cute..." Arnav couldn't help but mention baby's resemblance with her father...

"I know... Everyone says that... I wish she looks at least a little like me... I am so jealous of Shyam... He takes so much advantage of it... Keeps teasing me whole day..." Anjali complained...

"Don't worry Di, next time your prince charming will look like you... We will wait for another good news!" NK teased her...

"Yeah NK, but my good news has to wait... Maybe by then we will get a good news from Arnav and Khushi! What do you say Chote?" Anjali targeted her brother and was surprised to see him blush...

"Wow Chote, you are blushing... What a romantic picture?" Anjali teased him further...

"Di come on... Let's get in first and where is your luggage... HP, get water for Di" Arnav changed the subject...

"Where is Khushi by the way? And does she know I am here to watch her show live?" Anjali asked NK curiously...

"Come on Anjali, when your Chote had no clue, do you think Khushi will know? It's a surprise for her too. She will sure be happy..." Nani was proud they could pull off such a wonderful surprise...

"Di, Khushi is at Oberoi right now practicing her cooking skills and busy with last minute preparations... I must say she is working very hard and totally excited about the opportunity she has got... It's her childhood dream Di..." Arnav was equally excited for his wife and Nani, Anjali and NK were equally shocked to see Arnav so excited for Khushi...

"Nice Chote... I can't wait to see her... I had to return immediately after your marriage so we could never bond much but now that I am here, I am so happy... Nani and NK adore her so I am sure I will love her too as much as I love you..." Anjali totally smitten by how much NK and Nani talk about her...

"Di, Toys, diapers and other necessities will be delivered for Sonu in an hour... Here is the list and let Aman know if you need anything else... She should feel at home..." Arnav finished talking to Aman on phone and gave list to his Di...

"Wow Chote, I must say you have suddenly taken liking towards kids... Is it Khushi effect?" Anjali never missed any chance to tease her Chote and he was giving her too many...

"Di, can you please stop it? I just love my adorable darling and I want her to be comfortable here... As is she will miss Jiju..." Arnav explained unnecessarily making trio laugh...

"Di, by the way your brother is not as smart as you think... Though he is Harvard graduate, a complete flop show in love department... Barely passable... You will have to wait for a long time to see that day..." NK didn't miss his chance to pull Arnav either...

"Shut up NK... Khushi is too young and is just starting in her career... Let her enjoy her work and settle... Kids can wait..." Arnav excused himself...

"Wow Chote, so much concerned about your wife and her career... Way to go bro... Ok, I will wait for my niece or nephew... But I will ask Khushi for sure if she is on the same page..." Anjali was happy to see changes in her brother...

"Di, I have some work..." Arnav rushed to his room avoiding any further conversation about their baby...

Maybe a beautiful daughter just like Khushi! The thought itself made him shiver...

"Khushi, Khushi, Khushi, what have you done to me? And I can't wait anymore to tell you how much I love you and want to take this marriage forward... I will tell her the same night of finale of Master Chef... I am sure she will be blown away by my plans..." Arnav blabbered to himself...

"Surprise! Anjali shocked Khushi... She was holding Sonia in her hands...

"Di, you here? What a pleasant surprise? So good to see you... Must be Arnav's plan..." Khushi hugged Anjali...

"No, your Arnav also did not know... Nani and NK planned it so I can watch your show live here and join you all if you qualify for final" Anjali informed her...

"Di, so sweet of you to come all the way... And I am sure I could learn few recipes from you too" Khushi declared taking Sonia in her arms...

"Di, Sonia seems very friendly... She easily came to me and she is such a cutie!" Khushi planted a kiss on Sonia's cheek and hugged her tight...

"Can I take her to our room with me?" Khushi asked Anjali...

"Oh sure Khushi, no need to ask... She is all yours..." Khushi took her to their room and Arnav was happy to see how easily Khushi handled baby Sonia...

"Arnav be careful, put her in the middle of the bed and put pillows all around her so she doesn't fall... Keep an eye on her while I get her milk bottle and baby snack..." Khushi rushed downstairs.

"Ok" Arnav was surprised on her knowledge about babies...

"Oh my doll here" Khushi spread cereal on a tray for Sonia to pick up and eat... She slowly picked it up one by one and ate them... Finished her milk as well...

She played for another half an hour... Few minutes patting from Khushi and lots of kisses, she dozed off...

Arnav was watching her carefully. He was as usual jealous of Sonia to get so much love and attention from Khushi...

"She is so cute... I could play with her whole day and kiss her forever..." Khushi said planting last kiss on Sonia's forehead...

"She is not the only one whom you can kiss..." Arnav smirked coming close to Khushi...

"Stop it Arnav, that's the only thing you keep thinking... Let me check on Di if she needs anything. You please keep an eye on Sonia and call me when she gets up..." She tried to dodge him and walk away...

"Yeah, you are so right Khushi, kiss is not the only thing I should think about... We are husband and wife... So we could do lot more... Thanks for making me realize it, you are such a good wife!" Arnav stopped her and hugged her from behind...

"What?" Khushi turned around so shocked and shivered in his arms... He smirked seeing his effect on her...

"Right now I have to do lot more like cooking, learning some new recipes from Di and playing with Sonia... I don't know about you though..". She pushed him a little and ran away...

"Crazy girl..." He muttered to himself...

Khushi ran to the kitchen, stood leaning on the wall and took a long breath...

"Why did Arnav say that? What does he mean?" Khushi kept on thinking... She blushed so hard and turned red as usual... She could no longer think about the chores or focus on anything...

"This Laad Governor drives me crazy all the time... Hey Devi Mayya, I will be mad one day because of him and he won't even know..." She was muttering to herself...

"Anything special happening Khushi? And why are you smiling and blushing?" Anjali said tapping on Khushi's shoulder and brought her back out of her thoughts to reality... She had already guessed some cute moment must have happened between her brother and Khushi for her to come down running and hide in the kitchen...

"Nothing Di, I was just..." She couldn't even answer properly...

"Khushi, I pray you always stay blessed like this... Your smile is so precious..." Anjali just put her hand on Khushi's head and prayed for her happiness. She knew how much this angel has suffered when her brother acted thick headed...

"Di..." Khushi didn't say much and hugged Anjali...

Arnav could see his sister and wife bonding so well standing outside his room...

"Khushi can win anyone's heart with her infectious smile... How easily she manages to do it always?" Arnav was in awe of his wife...
