Mysterious Eyes
"I am sorry."
Her apologetic eyes lifted to meet his surprised ones, when she repeated her words for the third time.
"For what, you are apologizing? You have had committed so many sins that it's a little confusing for me. Mind enlightening me?"
There he replied, with his usual smirk that later filled up his eyes with an insane rage, she couldn't understand. Since the time she had met him, he had been mentioning the same thing in different ways. What have I caused him?
A wound that can never heal.
Knowing her questions wouldn't get their answers... not at least from him, she preferred ignoring them. "Is it paining too much?"
"It has and it does hurt a lot... a lot more you can imagine Ms. Chandani Narayan Vashishtha." His gaze never leaving her sight, and her, never catching his.
Bandage fell down from her hands when he suddenly grabbed her arm. "Why did you do that? To me?"
She winced in pain, trying to free her hand from his grip. Sliding his finger underneath her chin, his voice that had held anger earlier softened when he again asked, "Kyu kiya?"
She looked in his eyes those were mysterious like always, hiding an universe of secrets in them, dying to scream that they had a story to tell... his story.
She felt an insane urge rising within her to do anything it would take to calm his burning soul that was reflecting its image in his eyes.
"Jaan bujhke nahi kiya. If only had I known that it would hurt you, I would have never stepped on that way." Surprised with her own words, she ran from there when his hold loosened on her arm.
Advay clenched his fist, staring at her retreating back. I know real you Chandani. I won't fall in trap of your innocent face again. Apne kiye ki keemat to tumhe chukani hi padegi. He muttered as anger overpowered him again, banging his hand on the wall to let out his frustration.
Chandani shut the door of her room, resting her back against it. What has happened to me back there? What did I say and why did I say? Why does he always make me feel like I have snatched him from something that I shouldn't have? Why do I feel, that the story his eyes are hiding include me as well? Have I really done I anything that shouldn't have? I just hope, that I am not the reason behind that pain I saw in his eyes today. She placed her palm on her heart that was beating frantically against her chest.
