This is a controversial topic, not! 😆
It's a light hearted thread about our beloved Arnav and Khushi. While there's no doubt we all totally love these two characters in general but every character has flaw or any habit etc which people might dislike and/or may not agree with.

Arnav: While I totally love Arnav and dream about him 24/7 I just hate the fact that even our ASR is a male chauvinist. He has a very fragile male ego which is totally to be seen many times, for example he can shout at Khushi and insult her whenever he wants BUT dare she even talk to him in a slightly raised tone. That stayed even after their remarriage because male ego! ("Watch your tone Khushi!")

Khushi's character is the sweetest and very self less and you all must be thinking what could be there which someone can possibly dislike but I just really hate the fact that she really couldn't let Arnav be when it came to religious things. During/after remarriage he did it for her happiness but before that I really just couldn't/can't accept how when Arnav didn't want to come to temple, attend puja etc she tricked him into doing it. Why? Because she couldn't accept his atheism! That's forcing a religion on an atheist. Not cool!

The list of what we like about Arnav and Khushi is looong. But let's see if there is anything to be added in the list we dislike about them! Share your views and your dislikes 😆

Superb topic Pari Totally agree with you on both character's flaw
Arnav:- for his big fat male ego he hurts Khushi many time calling her names
insulting her every time so he don't have admit that he have feelings for her
and for every thing blame Khushi
Khushi- the point you said is totally right she indirectly force him to do things in which
he don't believe and also I hate her over sacrificing nature because for me
some time it's also become reason for more problem

Khushi: Her unwavering faith in the almighty to solve everything for everyone instead of getting your hands dirty and doing it yourself. Dependence. Too selfless where she forgets her self worth.

Arnav: His treatment/views of women except that ones in his family and people who have less money. His delusional superiority over people who really don't give a shit. Major insecurities in so many aspects. I could go on and on about him. He got lucky that he's eye candy. It took me a long time to like this guy. I really just watched the show for Khushi in the beginning.

hey cheers to you for this topic.
let me tell you this, the same reason you mentioned you dont like in asr, defines his character.

if there is no male chauvinist ego in Arnav, then he is never a ASR.

Coming to Khushi, her faith on deity made her survive through tougher conditions.

Many indian women has this notion of convincing or compelling things on their beloveds including family.

They feel they have this right and they are doing for their beloved's welfare.

So, a mother forcing a child to eat vegetables is for the child's welfare, the same is the case with what khushi does.

if you remember, many of us know, when our mother asks to go to temple, we don't like but why does our Mom still insists?

Because she believes in something which will be good for us.

while mother believes the vegetables are good for health, khushi believes her deity takes care of her arnavji.

here, the matter is not about what / who they believe. It is the fact that they want their beloved's to be well.

ASR represents to me his shatir dimaag which he excels in his work and sometimes in his personal life too. I love his ASR persona. His cocky and confident self is very attractive because he's got something to back it up. He built his empire from nothing and has every right to feel proud of himself and show it off. However, the chauvinist in him has nothing to do with that. They way he degrades others of 'lower class' and feels ok with that is a sign of insecurity, essentially a bully. And that's the opposite of attractive. Just my two cents 😃

Arnav his ego and the excessive abuse of Khushi. His belief that once you are poor you have no character and you are a gold digger. Also if you are poor you are a liar (believing Shyam over Khushi).

Khushi was too selfless trying to please everyone and getting hurt. Situations that doesn't concern her and she takes then on. Did not like how she always end up in his room.

superb topic 👏
ARNAV:i love his ego i think his ego, arrogance, attitude that what makes him ASR.what i dislike about him is that except the ladies in his family he don't behave very well with women specially khushi.n he judge people with their status that i hate alot
KHUSHI:her believe that i can do everything by my own but u can't.one side i love her character for being bubbly, cute, sweet, blabbering girl.at the same time it is frustrating to se her i-can-do-everything-by-my-own attitude.n that soo emotional heart

Arnav always judges people on the basis of status! Despite the worst betrayal from his own uncle and the wayward ways of his father, he seems to hold a grudge against people from the lower strata of society. The 'tip' scene was one of the worst!!! Lyk everybody said, complete lack of respect for women outside the family. I hate it that he always took Khushi for granted. I was really irritated with him in the episode in which Shyam's truth is finally revealed before Anjali. Shyam hurls abuses at Khushi...but Arnav does not move an inch. His sister slaps Shyam and he finally realizes he has legs and a mouth.
As for Khushi, I hate it that she tries to interfere in other people's lives! Not everytime would it yield good results and not everybody would appreciate it. At some points of time, I have also felt that Khushi needs to learn to be quiet.
But then, they are Arnav and Khushi..and they wouldnt be them without these flaws!

What I don't like about Arnav is his lectures about status and class 🥱and about Khushi, her over sacrificing and self blaming nature.
