Now this is really getting ridiculous!

And what's with all that forced chemistry and shoving the Rabba-Ve down the throats?
Every time someone talks about the chemistry looking forced, I'm like...are they criticizing or complimenting?
And hello to one and all. Yep, this is Candy. Out here once again, to do some "venting".
Guys and gurls who know me would be quite aware that the Subject of the topic and what I am going to write are about go in a total contradiction.
So, yep, disclaimer again: Though the post might not be as long as my usual ones, it sure is in TOTAL FAVOR OF THE ACTORS and NOT AGAINST them.
Lets do this one thing a time.
*me goes to google, types Chemistry between people*
*Google rolls eyes and displays:*
Chemistry (relationship) In the context of relationships, chemistry is a simple "emotion" that two people get when they share a special connection. It is not necessarily sexual. It is the impulse making one think "I need to see this [other] person again" - that feeling of "we click".
Now, which Chemistry am I gonna talk about?! Which chemistry is being questioned about in the first place?!
When times like this come, Candy clears her throat, drinks water, crackles her knuckles and prepares to type the eff out of her lappy.
Oh yeah, baby.
You should've thought better of it before asking so many questions that makes Candy want to answer. Coz Candy is kinda dizzy and high with exhaustion and insomnia having a rave party in her body. So bare with her Y'all.
Now, let's begin talking about Chemistry. Let's first spell it.. C-H-E-M-I-S-T-R-Y!
Did you guys really do that? I was kidding, ya know?
Alright, Candy is gonna get into business now.
Lead pair having forced chemistry:
THAT IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE!!!
Like, seriously, is anyone following the show?!
When that guy, that hawt, sexy, charisma-..I mean, when the anti-hero invades the Female Protagonist's personal space without her will and permission and goes ahead to take her hand in his, dhamkee-ing her, promising her that he'd be badnaam-ing her; I certainly do not expect her to blush, stare into his eyes with sparks flowing between them, raise on her toes and go ahead and peck his cheek (I wish she does that though and may be go for those lips instead of the cheek?)
I mean, honestly, I dont get the point here.
Like, are you talking about sexual/romantic chemistry here? If so, when you are saying that it looks forced, it is a huge compliment, coz the actors and the makers are actually working to make it look forced.
There is no romance between them yet!
They are actually walking with swords pointed at each other, romance is the last effing thing on the list as of now.
If it is about the off-screen chemistry, aka, the friendly banter, its been just 8 episodes and many be a month or two into making the show, I dont think these people even got to work together for more than just a couple of shots. On the long run, when they'd be having to do for 15-ish hours, I am sure they are gonna be a blast. Or may be they are even now, credits tot he insta stories we keep getting from time to time. The media ban/restriction in 4Lion PH prevents us from seeing too much of what goes behind the scenes.
And to be honest, amidst all the hate and revenge, there are times when you actually see Advay having a lapse of Dev (Barun babua is slaying that little transitions of Adavy and Dev) and by God, if there is a real crackling chemistry there!
I mean, if this is the chemistry when there is nothing but hate, revenge, manipulations, scheming and confusions; I guess I should be ready with a couple of packs of ice and cold water to sit and watch an out and out real romantic episode once the love track begins.
I'm so psyched for it.
Barun's acting has gone bland:
I dont even know how to begin to answer to that.
Like...WHAT?!

Did you read that as separate alphabets in your head again?! 𤣠You should stop doing that. I'm just kidding.
Coming back, at this point I am seriously confused if I am watching the same show as the rest are, or if I keep jumping to another forum and am watching a whole damned another show!
Candy is confuzzeled, ya know?
See, Let me be honest.
The editing of the show still has to become a lot crisper and neat. There are times when Barun's single shot/expression is cut into 2-3 parts and played between the various reactions of the family. Times like this make it look as if he is staring at the goddamned wall of he haveli, which is not the case.
Now, it might look like I am just supporting him coz I adore him and all, but well, I cant change what you think of me, but honestly, Barun's greatest strength in his acting is, he can hold onto an expression for quite a long time. (I guess he said that in HotStar IVs for IPK-EJ)
Beside that, I dont see any glitch, whatsoever in Barun's acting. Like c'mon! Seriously? That guy is making me root for kameenapan and battameezi.
I really like the fact that neither Barun, Shivani or Ritu do any OTT acting here. No dramatic poses or smirks or speeches or eye widening or jaw dropping or any of that stuff. These 3 are simply slaying their roles and being as honest as their characters need to be.
I love the subtly and maturity with which these characters are both dealt and being portrayed.
And coming to Barun...this munda can make me go from drooling to taken aback to blush to cry to laugh..I dont know about the rest, but this guy here is a magician.
Leave him aside, his eyes alone can do all the magic.
Being honest, Barun has improved exponentially since IPK1 to Tanhaiyaan. He has become really refined and precise and powerful. And from Tanhaiyaan to IPK3, he is showing an altogether new dimension of acting.
He is portraying a dark, unapologetic, ruthless anti-hero with an ease and confidence that just brings goosebumps over you.
He goes cunning, he goes scheming, he slips to being vulnerable, he gets angst..So far, its been just the gray, dark and melancholic hues of him that I've seen. (May be except for the times with Murli)
And for me, I can say this without a second thought that Advay Singh Raizada is Barun Sobti's best work so far. It is his new bench-mark. And he is out doing himself with every episode being telecasted.
And if still, threads would pop up saying Barun's acting is slacking,

RabbaVe forcing:
If I have to be uber honest, as much as I LOVE Rabba-Ve, and had absolutely no problem with it being played for AdNi as well, I think Rabba-Ve is a very soft and romantic song.
What AdNi needs right now is a more powerful, angst ridden, complicated, harsher song.
And as to why Rabba-Ve is being telecasted right from the beginning even when there is no said romantic stuff between the leads?
How can anyone not see the connection?
Advay or rather, Dev and Chandni are childhood buddies (or potentially, lovers too). Their Rabba-Ve-ing has started way long back. It had a pause of 16 years and has resumed right from the moment they met again.
I thought that's why the Rabba-Ve was being played right from the beginning and it made total sense to me.
Like, these two people are not star-crossed lover, who are right now on on the road to getting to know each other and then someday an undeniable spark flies between them and the chemistry begins.
No.
These guys are meant to be and have been close right from their childhood. And no matter what rage, hatred and revenge and misunderstandings they have between them, their love story has already begun long back. It is just back on the path of regaining its strength and momentum.
*takes a deep breath*
