It breaks my heart to see the stress Aamir is going through. At age 10 (the youngest in the competition), this boy is super talented. I always look forward to his singing as more often than not, his singing touches my soul and lifts it up. He is in a league of his own. Despite being one of the most talented participants, he ends up in the danger zone time and again. As the competition got more intense, I'm sure all the kids are stressed out. However, not everyone has the same level of expectation, support and circumstances to deal with the end result. Just looking at his scared face today, I felt like giving him a hug and telling him - Aamir, you're the best. I, for one, would love to hear you sing for a long long time. So, cheer up my boy. Your journey doesn't end with this show. Or so I hope.

aww...he's only 10? I didn't know that! So Tanmay is older than him?

And yes, he did look very scared...especially during the pretend mini-lecture they got from Sonu and Suresh ji. 😭

It has been mentioned many times in this thread. Also, since you asked 😊, just looked at their profiles at

saregamapalilchamps2007.blogspot.com/search/label/LIL%20CHAM PS

Aamir is in grade V and Anamika is in grade VII. Now, Anamika mentioned in today's show that she is 12, So, let's extrapolate....

Zee website indicated he was in the 5th Standard last year. so he should be in the 6th standard this year. Born 11 Oct, but year of birth not given. What year do they go to the 1st standard in India?

It also states that he is good in his studies.

Exactly!! Even though I felt it was kind of apparent, looking at Sonu's expressions at the beginning, that the whole thing would be some kind of a prank, I guess the kids were in a different reality altogether and seemed scared to death. This is what I don't like about competitions - takes the spirit away. In any case, Aamir's performance was brilliant today. I personally would have liked to see him perform Chaiya Chaiya. Rohanpreet is very melodious, no doubt. But Aamir has a powerful and soulful voice which I felt this song could have benefited from.

Do you mean it was not scripted? reharsed?

Everyone in the reality show becomes part of the script; they even do reharsal before doing anything.

My comment really was on his stressed appearance throughout the show. Even at the beginning of the Friday episode, when all the kids are dancing, you could see his low spirits.

If your remark is specifically about the Sonu-Suresh prank, it may or may not have been rehearsed. You don't believe even the judgement/grading part of a reality show is pre-rehearsed, do you? Anyway, the point is moot. The boy is stressed out and it shows. Sure, he is not the only one under duress. But as I said, not everybody's circumstance or personality is the same. It affects different folks in different ways. My comment was on his. In my opinion, he absolutely deserves to be in the top three ( best, in fact 😊 ) and it would be sad to see him drop out prior to that.
