Anything symbolic in the invasion of rats in WC?

Last time Sk brought Nani into their lives and Mehak got a snake bite and Karuna got a NDE and this time again SK brought his ex, someone he trusts totally.
Anyone seeing any parallel in Nasty Nani and this?

what do rats signify? will mehak get bitten by rats? Not kidding girls, ST's previous show had MB's feet getting chewed by rats and in some other show too I saw this scene recently.

I have heard that if someone bad-mouths about mice they will chew their clothes...I want Shaurya Khanna to shout on those rats ...bloody middle class rats 🤣 and I want them to chew his tacky suits... which he is wearing these days 🤣

Simran, rats generally symbolise someone sneaking in & silently betraying, slowly ZKM has lost that relatable quality & now symbols too don't hold much meaning, the characters are contradicting themselves as per episode requirement.MehRya stand like duellists across drawn swords for a scene then swing like compass needle to magnetic north ,with chitrahaar not sure anymore what's with this unpredictability & sudden turn around of characters, last week we were trying to uncover the blanket person this week it's the person in sack 😆
