About Jagga Jasoos:

"Jagga Jasoos (English: Detective Jagga) is an upcoming 2017 Indian musical adventure romantic comedy film written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor. The film features Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Saswata in lead roles, and tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father. The director says that this movie will have around twenty songs. The film is scheduled to be released on July 14 2017"

I think Shruti hides and JJ first tells her how she is a murder suspect coz her fingerprints are all over the knife - then saves her from the murder charge. So she is indebted to him.

Later on, as a Journo, she is doing a story on Bagchi and JJ asks her help to find his dad. Since JJ saved her before, she returns the favour by going with him.
