Salman should stop making a fool of himself. He just can't understand why his films don't work. It's not because Tubelight is a different movie. The simple reason why Kick worked and Tubelight isn't doing expected business is the gulf in quality. Kick, despite being a masala movie, was entertaining. Tubelight was a poor movie, with no script AT ALL.
Tubelight isn't good cinema. It's poor cinema. If Salman had done a movie like Lunch Box, it'd have been Super Hit based on multiplex audiences alone (and his starpower obvs). There is a difference in doing a quality film and trying to milk audiences' money by playing on the success of BB.
Last time Salman said he was doing something different, it turned out to be Jai Ho.. This man has no understanding of film theory.
