Oh yes!! But I credit the absolute sizzling chemistry b/w SRK-Kajol here more than the direction or script.This is why SRK-Kajol.They can be smouldering in a Suraj hua madham equallly amazing with their comic timing in a bade mazaki ho.No idea why some pplaround here think SRK-Juhi is better😆

Honest confession I dont really like Aamir portraying romance but he blew it out of the park in DCH,Rangeela and Fanaah.DCH especially what a refreshing take..I loved loved how Akaash was extremely cynical about love and the slow transformation after meeting Shalini..Very normal conversations b/w the duo at a time BW movies were over glamorized and dramatic.The proposal scene is also equally enigmatic.PZ She was utterly adorable and her chemistry with Aamir was brilliant.

Also appreciate the mature Akshay Khanna-Dimple relationship Farhaan showed.That song "kaise hai ye rut" is underrated but sublime.The lyrics smoothly flow along with the music like a river.

This song...IF it was picturized on Shahrukh and Aish...

Imtiaz is actually really good at depicting passion/romantic tension between his leads all of which ultimately culminate to brilliant cathartic moments onscreen

Take this scene from LAK for example, where the heroine's breakdown after getting back her lover is heartwarming:

These kinds of passionate scenes are a rarity in BW films and I admire Imtiaz for creating them.


Problem is of late, he has become artsy in a confusing way. Tamasha for example could have well been a masterpiece if he hadnt gone into "la la la I am Alfred Hitchcock" mode in the middle of the film😆
