You have to roll, cut and put the dhokli in dal, add all masalas and start boiling it. Let it boil on low to medium flame for 20-25 minutes before doing tadka. Dhokli will be cooked properly. (We Gujjus generally do the tadka on the daal after its cooked properly. At the end)

Dal-Dhokli is our Sunday lunch. 😛

Ha ha Natthu. I know Sweet dal can be tiring after a while. Though we don't get tired really. 😆 But for someone, who is not used to.. can.

Tiffin wale puts sweetness in all subjis. Generally not many at home do that. I don't put sweet in subjis. Only Dal and Kadhi we need sweet.
